I must shamefully admit to never have shopped at Mr. Peabody's record store. It seems pretty clear though they got and get good stuff.

Got a email for another big sale coming up (missed last time of course) and wanted to know does some decent stuff make it to sale? Or is it junk (perspective of course)

We talking 40,000 records @ .99 and 60k @ 4.99 entire store markdown!

The easy part would be just to go and see. Thing is Im going to a Celtics game in Boston up close and personal "nice to meet you Mr. Garnett, Mr. Rivers" close.

Been geeked for weeks about going but my lust for discounted vinyl is strong!
If I'm def. gonna miss out on tons of good stuff I might have to reconsider. Is the daily stock normally good? The game is always better on tv right?!

I got more pressing issues going on in my life and somehow this is tough for me lol!

I've never been to one of their sales but I was just there earlier tonight and I can definitely state that they have plenty of heat. Plus they're good people. They let me stay and watch the Giants game well after closing time. Unless you have another opportunity to get out to Boston then I really think it's a no-brainer that you go to the game. I was cold as all get-out last week at the Bears game but there was no way I was going to stay home and watch it when I had the chance to actually go to the game. There's no substitute for being there.

You just can't go in there for ten minutes, brothers will start pulling out all kinds of deep stuff u ain't never heard before.

Unlike record stores in other parts of town that hoard the good stuff its all love getting at the best of the music.:respent:

Sell, Sell, Sell!!

They have so much music there, you would have to take a chow break with all the wax to look through.

Damn! I expected these responses especially from Child and Old discojock.

My guy is hooking this all up. Flight is partially covered (works for United) and the room is covered.

I go for the ride, get proper intro's, get my sons SI signed take some groupy looking photos yada, yada. And miss out on a shit load of gems on sale.

The Celtics start a dynasty and I miss out on saying I was there for a moment.Otoh I got a shit load of records.

Im going to the game. Since my guy planned all this for me, I cant back out now. I will still check out Peabodys though. I ll just be pissed knowing I couldve paid less.

Jock, have they converted to those fancy MRE's that come with a heater or do they still do the brown plastic ones?

I could deal with everything except that damn dehydrated meat pattie. I was happy if I got spaghetti w/ meat sauce or chicken a la king. Put that joker on the heater in my van (31M/31Q) and I was cool.
