Confession time-Shelter was bangin'...

So I woke up this morning at 11:30. At noon, I decided to go to the Shelter. I knew that it should still be open because of Byrd's celebration. At 12:45, I get there and GOT DAYUM it was packed! I saw a few potential baby's mommas out there too. Some of the dj's on the check in:Omar Abdallah, Jihad Muhammad, Preston, Francesca, Tyrone Francis, Lil Ray, Gary Todd, Manski (yes, there was a phuccin Manski sighting!), Saadiq, Barry B, Duron T, Tee Mallory, Dawn220, Mia Friday, etc (if I forgot to mention anyone else, my bad).

I usually like to chill on the side somewhere and watch the crowd, but I was getting my constant bumps all over. I didn't mind.

You know that I usually don't give out too many sincere compliments but my man, Sting was killing it. He just would not let up. I was telling Lil Ray at the bar that I wanted to get home in time for the Jets game and he ribbed me a bit about that. It's alright.:biglaugha:

I insisted on leaving at 3:45 to watch some ball, or else I would've stayed til closing.

I liked this one better than the grand opening. Good freakin' party!:OLA:

Just left there about 4pm and the place is still jam packed.They don't want to go home.lol.Damn didn't that place open at 11pm saturday nite? Now that's a real new years shelter treat.It was good to see evry1 this afternoon.

Barry, what I was about to tell you on my way out (but couldn't get the words out) was that I ate a peanut butter hershey's kiss by mistake. Peanut butter is my Kryptonite. Although I washed it out with a brew, I didn't feel 100%.:faint:

From what i read the party space was rented out till about 4am. Then shelter began.

Just missed you guys...got there about 4:15pm...spot was bumpin'...just got in...shut down around 6a....amazing!!...people were still asking for more...Shelter..what?!

damn, firts new years I've missed in years at the shelter. But I had to see my moms off today. Glad the reports are so good.

Got there around 9 AM, left at 4:30 PM. Feet are fine... thanks to my simple 2-step.
I wore my Zanz t-shirt in honor of Byrd, the place we first met.
Gave her a nice long hug... she'll be sorely missed.
