U.S. aircraft have dropped more than 2,000 precision-guided bombs on Iraq since the war's start, according to Associated Press. The "smart" bombs now are produced for a relatively cheap $20,000 each.

This is the result of the new Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM)GBU-31 Tailkit that can be fitted to many "Dumb bombs, hmmmm".

These kits can be fitted to old Mark 82 bombs used in Vietnam and bombs produced during World War II for as little as 20 grand. This is one of the reasons why we're not seeing videos of bombs and missiles flying into their targets. These types of munitions needed the aid of person targeting a laser onto a chosen target, or the use of a video camera as the person steers the projectile into it's target.

Now with the use of Satellite technology, the weapons used in the first gulf war are almost obselete.
