sf - because it's the best city in the world :D

vancouver is nice too but not as much going on. new york has alot going on but is too much of a hassle. i could only live in LA if i had a place on the beach. for the music and the culture...definately sf. (i just got back from nyc last night so i've kinda missed home)

nyc is way bigger, but sf has alot going on for such a small area.

i live in the lower haight.

the dot com bust happened a couple years ago. i moved here during the boom. there are definately more for rent signs now, but the rent seems to be the same. i'm looking to spend about $1400-$1800 a month for a 2 bedroom. i think that's similiar to nyc but the apartments in sf i think are bigger.

i still prefer the nightlife in sf over new york city...from style to venue. are resturants are great too and alot cheaper. and so are our drinks ;)

I liked the bay area alot when I lived there.... I stayed in Berkely which was cool... I really liked the area and I liked that I could go into the city to party but I didn't have to live there... Vancouver is way cool too... I remember thinking that it was just like an American City only cleaner... I often joke about moving up to canada cause of America's ****ed up polotics and because of their attitude and laws regarding herb...

Nyc...can always find something to do or eat at anytime

Toronto.....for the women...that's if I was single....so I guess I'll just stay my ass in NYc.

anywhere in the world?......USVirgin Island, namely St. Thomas or St. John....I would have to own a little shack/beach style restaurant/club and invite the biggest and best djs every month for the biggest party in the Caribbean and serve mushroom punch and ganja tea all night.

o Montreal - love this city graemlins/1luvu.gif come one Expos!

o Island of Kauai (Hawaii) - something about having 43 beaches, numerous waterfalls, great surfing, great mushrooms and loads of lush space in the US appeals to me ;)

San Francisco would be where I'd like to work and live (if the job pays 6 figures). Going to NuLife and Devotion each weekend would be a blast. A great city with tremendous views (especially if you drive on 280 south of the city - there this weekend smile.gif ).

LA is also fantastic with the San Gabriel mountains in the background. You got Deep and other events. (there in November).
New York has it all!!! Shelter, Together in Spirit, Bang the Party, etc. (there in two weeks).

Calgary is quite intriguing! Check out www.calgarysoul.com (http://www.calgarysoul.com) about their scene.

Just a few thoughts,

Just a few thoughts, wow, just checked the site, it's Jeff's site, I believe he used to post on GarageHouseMusic and perhaps even here. Nice to see dedicated people pushing the music in remote areas graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Now I have to do some serious crate searching downstairs- one of my favourite mid-90s deep house instrumentals is on a label from Calgary, or all places. I live two provinces over from there but would never have heard it if it hadn't ended up in a Tony Humphries HOT 97 mix.

I love visiting NYC, but my heart is in DC. I've heard San Fran is pretty dope though, need to peep that at some point. Honolulu would be ****ing awesome to live in. Visiting Montreal in a few though. More and more, Canada's government and humanitarian world view is making that country hell of attractive to me.

Took the fam. up to Montreal for Labor Day. It's a fabulous city and the socio-political climate is a welcome change from that of the US govt. I'll be making frequent trips from now on...
