With Mars approaching so soon, it makes one wonder about our fascination with the Red Planet. The subject of so many movies and novels, mostly Sci-Fi, dealing with so many theories and speculation about life on Mars. Now even NASA thinks there is a possibility that some sort of life once existed there.
What about you? Does anyone out there think that life once existed on Mars, and if so, any intelligent life.
Finally, do you think that there is intelligent life out in our galaxy?
Be interested in hearing your thoughts on the matter!

If there is intelligent life out there that has the knowledge and ability to reach us, then my guess is that they're not gonna be too eager to meet us.... with all that is going on in our world today. I think they're gonna wait to make contact untill we get our shit together.. ;)
Peace, and have a nice weekend.

ps
On Aug. 27, 2003, Mars will be less than 34.65 million miles (55.76 million kilometers) away -- closer to our planet than it’s been in nearly 60,000 years. The view will be stupendous. Track Mars’ growing brightness with SPACE.com's exclusive Mars viewing maps and charts.

What do we consider life or intelligence for that matter? Are we speaking of something that has mass, lives and grows? Is intellect simply exposure to information or self-awareness or awareness of others?
God, in MY opinion, invented physics/thermodynamics, elements, fire, energy matter and the subsequent evolution of "life" and "intelligence" because that was the natural, uninterrupted progression of this world. I believe that if given the chance to observe/experience existence on a common level with other beings of a given realm, be it Mars or some other place, we (humans) might encounter what we'd regard as life or intelligence; but possibly in contexts/iterations that might be beyond our earthly frame of reference. Maybe individuals that exist without physical form; just pure consciousness. Or maybe collective communes of consciousness that function as one entity for the greater good of that entity. The universe is a really big place, man.

Philly Int. in my head now graemlins/thumbsup.gif
Isn't in my window of perception, life in our Galaxy that is. although i do not rule anything out. People tend to make things in their own image little green men etc ;) , if their is life I don't expect to comprehend it.
hopefully from the $billions spent it may result in big changes, we may have some nice new material for jackets or running shoes in 15 years
a sarcastic graemlins/OLA.gif
Have a good weekend all, an unsarcastic graemlins/OLA.gif

I think Daniel Wang is from Mars and rode over here on a hang glider to show us their music.
Seriously though, I think there may well have been life there but chances are it would'nt have evolved to be a vertebrate.
Maybe some evil fungus...

Fellas I made a discovery which is very interesting about Mars. Someone has to teach how to upload a picture to this board ( I still don't know how). I discovered something hidden in the face of Mars picture ( You know that poplular picture that made the rounds a few years ago)that so far everyone that has seen it has been blown away. I'm still at work so I wont be able to upload the picture till I get home but believe me it is worth the wait. This discovery is so interesting I had it copyrighted at The US copyright office. So if someone can tell me how to upload it I will when I get home. graemlins/bolt.gif

Clay tablets from the sumerian culture (which dates back to 6,000 BC) have been found in Iraq, that show maps of our solarsystem with all the outer planets that simply cannot be observed from the earth. according to these tablets there are 12 planets in our solarsystem. Makes you wonder how ancient cultures had such detailed information on our solarsystem..
For more information about ancient contacts between humans and extra terrestrials read the books of Zecharia Sitchin...
Another great book on the subject of aliens is the book "Alien Agenda" by Jimm Marrs
Reading these books has completely changed my view on the existince of alien life forms.
Perhaps one day the human species will realize it's place within the cosmic family?
David, what is your answer to your question?
