smoking! yes, it's time for attempt number 200 or so, but i think this is going to be the big one.
please tell me about the dangers of smoking... biggrinangel.gif
ps: what i really need is your full spiritual and virtual support for this challenge (even more for my relatives, friends and girlfriend, because feelings are about to get hurt and dinnerware is about to get broken)
pps:as you can see from the content of this message, it has already been 6 hours since i smoked my last cigarette.
ppps: i'm gonna smoke a fat ass joint as a reward to myself.... graemlins/acclaim.gif

You can stop if YOU really want to. It's all mental will power-and a patch can help also.

Congratulations! I stopped smoking cigs myself exactly 7 days ago. You can do it!

A couple of chemicals found in cigs - DDT and phermaldahyde (sp?).

It's been 8 or 9 weeks for me. My tastebuds are starting to adjust and anyone near my cube thought I was having sex as I ate some chocolate cake and icecream.

Hang in there Brrrro graemlins/thumbsup.gif

The Easy Way to Stop Smoking" by Alan Carr

I read this book three weeks ago and haves since not craved or wanted a cigarette after finishing it.

Highly recommneded as you are asked to continue smoking while reading the book which analyzes why we smoke ( no scare tactics, a fair bit of repitition ....i used to smoke around 40 a day, after finishing the book, i have'nt felt like having one.......weird, no cravings either and yes i have been out to at least three parties smile.gif

give it a go

cheers

Hey, well done! A lot of people don't realise what a big deal it can feel like to you the person who is stoppping. I've stopped for over three weeks now, and feel great, but I do think that it feels like a big deal. I feel like the whole world should be congratulating me (although i know it's my fault for starting!)(and that is a little pretentious...), but really, man, keep at it, I just bought a pair of nike with the money I saved for not smoking for 3 weeks!!!
