Are CD Burners easy to install or should I seek out and pay for professional installation?

Erob Well it depends. How much work have you done before on your computer?

If you're not comfortable with doing your own work, you could always pop for an EXTERNAL USB cd burner and not have to worry about it. That might be the way to go.

If you are pretty good with reading instructions it will be a breeze. Ask the dealer where you purchased the burner from to supply you with the step-by-step instructions for your type of unit.

It should not take you over 1.5 hour max (this include set up)

Thank you - I am willing to give it a try and if it doesn't work, I will take it to the computer store for repair.

Very easy to do, I wouldn't pay anyone to do it, do you have any friends that could help you or watch over you when you do it?

Alberts link is a very good step by step guide.
