Mike
I never went to 48 park It was a little too far into southside and some of my boys had beef w some kids out there (knucklehead shit). I did get out to IS 8 and Fantasia a lot and most definitely made the scene at LeChalet, Jamaica Park, 176 park, Montebellier park, Cambria Park, Olympia Palace and that spot across from Hillcrest HS. I also checked The Foghouse a few times and went to the Encore for a lot of their after work parties. Some of the dj's you mentioned worked that circuit of clubs and outdoor spaces a lot and Infinity Machine always brought out big crowds.

Mike Barnes you continue to entertain and fascinate with your knowledge on everything hiphop. So much has been written about early hip/hop,but to get first hand knowledge from someone who was there is another thing.I was watching video music box and the whole show was about wildstyle the movie.Perhaps a book could be in order!

Phyllis, Good lookin with the very kind words(I appreciate it/Alicia Meyer's/LOL), Phyllis, Ralph McDaniels knows the history of hiphop better than myself(Ralph McDaniels does not post that much nowdays though), But, Ralph knows alot of the Legends and Pioneers of hiphop, While, I just used to get loose at the spots/parks(LOL), Phyllis, There are so many books about hiphop nowdays(It seems like every other day, I hear about a cat with a
Book About hiphop out/LOL), Phyllis, As long as cats are not souping shit up(Grandmaster Caz calls such cats, 'Lioneers',/LOL), And, The information is solid(Cats can provide places,Actual events that took place, Where the throwdowns took place,Who was rockin,Etc,), Then, It's very nice too see(Cats writing books about hiphop), Phyllis, I have nothing to gain in regards
To building about the oldschool days on the hiphop scene in New York back in the 70's /LOL, That's why i prefer to just build with cats/young ladies on the board, In regards to the hiphop and dance music scenes in the 70's/80's, In New York, Phyllis, Again, Good lookin with the very kind words(And, I'm glad you enjoy the threads on the hiphop scene in the 70's in New York).
