A girl was dancing in front of my tables while i was DJing and she was topless. I didn't mind but my girl usually dances by where I spin.
I looked at my girl (after staring at the topless dancer) and she was like...

This maybe doesn't qualify for the "most bizarre" thing.

I DJ'd Howard Stern's movie premiere at Madison Square Garden. That was pretty weird. A billion celebrities and porn stars and all those freaks he hangs out with. Definitely the one of the biggest crowds I ever spun for. Everyone I knew was like "how in the hell did you get that gig?"

I was asked for my autograph once while spinning.

The Rink Zone. While Playing "Your Love" and jacking the bass, the amp rack pulled so much juice from the fuse box that it exploded and the main power lead from outside arked, burned and fell off the building.
DeAndre's system sucked the power box dry!

A couple come to mind - Guess I'm just bizzare smile.gif :
Back in the day (late 80s), aside from regular gigs, I would go spin house sets for friends in "non-house" clubs. Was spinning one night in this hardcore hip-hop club (getting the normal harrassment), and this dude came up pissed and said "You need to be shot for playing this!" (and opened his coat to show me his gun). Needless to say I ended my set early that night.
Also one New Years Eve - I was spinning 12 hours straight for this party at my friends loft - I was located about 5' above the crowd, but was sitting cross-legged (ceiling space limitations) - around 8am I found myself taking litte 30 second drunken cat naps b/t records (laying on my back). Long story short, the report from the remaining crowd was a record ran out, they looked up and could only see my knees - I was done for the night smile.gif

I've definitely been threatened numerous times as a hip hop DJ. I've had to have people thrown out who couldn't deal with the fact that I wouldn't play their favorite record no matter how much money they paid me.
I once had a guy try to fight me because he told me I should play more Latino hip hop cuz I was Latino. When I told him I was, in fact, not Latino, he accused me of being ashamed of my heritage and then he wanted to fight me. He got thrown out too.
I used to have beef with Mariah Carey cuz she would come to my party every week and send over a flunky to request her record. The only record of her's I ever even owned was the one she did with ODB. At first she was all sweet, sending me over champagne and shit, then she just got nasty and bitter that I wasn't tasking her orders. There is nothing tackier than an artist asking you to play their own record.
Prince used to come to the same club, and there was an un-written rule that you would never play a Prince record when he was in the house. ONe time I was playing Tupac's "I Get Around" and he's got a line that says "now everybody's lookin' for the ladder"(a Prince reference) As it was playing I looked over at Prince. He looked dead at me and just winked.

I was deejaying at a very hip/jet-set restaurant in Montreal/ summer of 2001.
My sets were from 9pm-3am.
This one Saturday night, the place was SO PACKED. Like illegal-packed. You feel me?
Anyway, at one point, my buddys came and had to stand in the little DJ booth, cause there was no other place to stand (there must have been easily a 1000 people, when the resto normally takes about 500.
Anyway, my best friend (who's also a major movie buff0 says "hey that's Ben Affleck".
Long-story short: Affleck was sitting RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME for at leat 2 hours (like within arms reach, literally).
He stayed all nite, surrounded by women galore. My friend had a discussion with him regarding George Stephanopoulos?????
BTW, he was so coked out. He would go into the washroom for 20 minutes at a time...and come out dazed.
Women were melting, even though he was drugged up??!!!

I had a similar incident. Back in the day, my boy who is a hip-hop DJ asked me to come down to this go-go bar he was playing at to spin some house. For you Jerzee headz that know "The Pacemaker" on Lyons Ave. in Irvington, you know what kind of crowd goes in there. This dude that looked like he got out of jail an hour earlier told me if I didn't stop playing club he would shoot me. I usually don't take requests, but... you know...
Even with a couple of my boys there, it just wasn't worth it.

It happened LAST NIGHT! I was in the middle of riding a blend, when this gorgeous blonde comes behind the tables and lays an open-mouth kiss on me! Needless to say, I lost my blend and lost focus for the rest of my set. graemlins/rofl.gif
Actually I was kinda mad at her and told her to get da fuk away from me, cause I can't multi-task while spinning. icon_rofl.gif

bizarre? ... there have been MANY.
Recently I was playing my afterhours spot and the place has JUST asked me to build a proper booth, so meanwhile I'm playing on a rig on top of a table. Well, these girls are dancing, one trips and literally slides backwards on her ass all the way across the floor (like at least 20 feet) into the table and makes the record (it was an EP) jump back onto the previous track. That was bizarre.
Then there was Rosie Perez asking me in the ONLY Rosie Perez voice "ummmm ... coul ju play dat wrekid by CHaKKaKaaaaahn dat goes "I ludju I lidju, I ludju I lidju"????" icon_rofl.gif
The same night the amp blew right before everyone sang Angie Martinez "Happy Birthday" and I had to rewire the entire system (to use the monitor amp for the main floor speakers) in about 1 minute flat.
