Just thought I'd pass this along to anyone who might be interested:
MAURICE FULTON @ WAX, the Party
This Saturday March 15th, 2003.
Located @ The Larchmont
5657 Melrose Ave (between Gower & Vine)
The sound has been all tuned, we will be using a combination of the house sound and Sound Factory, the sound should be amazing on Saturday.

P.S. the Larchmont used to be the Martini Lounge.

WORD! Maurice killed it .....once again. I showed up very late, but in time to see some friends of mine going crazy on the dancefloor...
he played some PUNKED-OUT, DISCO GROOVES, W/ SOUL, and a little CLASSIC HOUSE(plastic dreams and on...) Closed with 2 copies of TC Curtis "Should have know better" and absolutely killed that track like no one that I've heard before....it was a rainy night so by the end of the night there was alot of room on the dancefloor, which works for me graemlins/thumbsup.gif
a few tracks that I remember:
plastic dreams
voice of Q
Haven't been funked enough
an ESG track that I couldn't place, maybe of their last album on soul jazz?
A dope house track that uses a sample from Isaac Hayes "Moonlight Loving(menage a tois)" and replays the bassline, but with a woman singing a different song over it!!???(any IDeas?)
And another sick punked out number that had a very similar b-line to "Tell you(today)" but with no voacls and a kind of Rock-overdrive effect on the bassline.....wicked http://deephousepage.com/smilies/music049.gif
There was another track too that I was getting down to and I remember thinking..."damn I've got to know what this is" but now I can't remeber what how it went....I will be posting a Track ID thread as soon as I remember...I hope I remember.
Daniel did you go?

He's also playing London next Sunday at the Notting Hill Arts Club. Great crowd there.
