I got home at 2:30 last night, what a shitty drive it was on I 95. If I counted all the cars broke down on the side of the road yesterday, I could've opened my own junk yard.
Master Kev, thanks again for your "housepitality"!!!!! It was madd fun hangin out with you and the FAM!!!!!
Couple of cats I met for the first time: Tyrone Francis, destroying things at Frank's Lounge friday night!! DJ Earon, madd cool brotha. Sdiggity, John Davis, excellent party Sunday night with the Basement Boys!!!!!! And my boy Elliot H, it was great to finally meet you bruh after all these years graemlins/beerchug.gif !!!!!
It was great to see DJ Cheez( Yo man where were you all weekend?) Kayo, Donna Edwards, Lil Ray (The Master of the lights at the Shelter), Jlee (haven't seen yo ass in 3 years!!) Dennis F (It's 7 a.m. Do you know where your parents are?), Stacy, Marlon D graemlins/rofl.gif .
I had a great time at Frank's Lounge in Brooklyn friday night. Tyrone did his thing. He played some choice cuts, especially from Ron Trent and Peven Everett. Peven's cut was sick!!!!!
After all this childish talk about what went down at the Shelter, WHO GIVES A FILTH FLARN FILTH. Name another party with that kinda status that same weekend, then I'll shut up. It was well worth 25 bucks IMO, regardless of who played and who didn't play. You cats up in NYC are spoiled and you need to come down to earth because there are some of us on this board that don't have the advantage of going to parties every night of the week to see DJ A and DJ B. I bet some of you guys would bitch if the party was only 7 bucks. Madd props to Ruben Mancias, Frankie Feliciano, Danny Krivit, Dennis F, and Timmy Regisford (these are the DJs I heard play while I was there) for blessing us with a great night and morning. And thanks to Byrd for the food. Although I didn't eat anything that morning, it sure as hell smelled great!!!!!!!
The Basement Boys party was great. There's going to be some sick music coming from this camp pretty soon, so I'm warning you guys now. Excellent vibe from Spen and Teddy Douglas!!!! Non-stop and consistant energy throughout the night.
All I can say now is that this weekend has really motivated me to get back into mixing and start back on working on my tracks that have been sitting around collecting dust.
I'll see you guys in September!!!!!!
Peace
