Sean Combs, aka "P. Diddy" and formerly known as "Puff Daddy," is teaming up with Reebok and will design Dallas' new alternative jersey that is scheduled to debut in next season's opener.
Last week in New York, the Mavericks contacted Combs, who designs his Sean John clothing line, after fans expressed their dissent to the alternative jerseys the team has worn this season.
"(Owner) Mark Cuban listened to the fans, and he felt like Puffy's the hottest designer right now, and that's why we decided to work with his group," Tim Henning, the Mavs' director of merchandising, told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "He's the best. ... Puff is actually going to personally be involved in the process."
No word yet if Cuban will collaborate with Combs on his next hip-hop single.
