What up Mike? It's crazy cause I just got the (hard cover) book as a christmas gift this year(07-08). Good Stuff indeed!!!! My brother still has most of the flyers that were in the book. The one that really took me back was the flyer talkn about the battle between The Furious 5 and Brothers Disco(Funky 4 +1) at the "T" with the dude with a Kangol standing outside the sunroof of the O J(98 Oldsmobile). Dope @$$ flix of old school dudes. No Doubt!!!

Thanks for the info on JDL. That's definately good news that he's back home. Remember I was telling you (about a year ago) that JDL had a book out. And at the time I was wondering if you knew the title. Good lookn on that info as well.
Peace!!!

Robdoe, The battle between the Funky 4 vs The Furious and ever so mysterious 5 MC's, Took place at The T-Connection(White Plains Road), In, I think, The summer of 1978(If memory serves me correctly/LOL), Robdoe, I heard and read an interview with Rodney C,Jazzy Jeff,Sha-Rock,(Funky 4),
Along with an Interview with Raheem(Furious 5),Mele Mel, On Jayquan's site, That had some conflicting stories, As to what happened that night of the battle between the Funky 4 vs Furious 5 my man/LOL, On one end, Mele Mel stated that the Furious 5 stepped on stage first, And, Demo'd The Funky 4 lyrically, To, The point that the Funky 4 were mad shook when they stepped on stage after the Furious 5(Except Raheem), Mele Mel also stated that
Raheem still went hard even though everyone in the Funky 4 was mad copping a plea to the ninth power with their's/LOL, Robdoe, The Furious 5 was so impressed with Raheem still going hard lyrically, That, After the battle, The Furious 5 put Raheem down on the spot/LOL, Robdoe, Raheem mentioned in another interview with big Lez on BET in 1999, That, He was put down in the summer of 1978(Though, Raheem Did not mention how he was put down in the interview with Big Lez), Robdoe, Joe Conzo, has mad,Mad,
Pictures my man(Word), Money(Joe Conzo), Was there for alot of the live throwdowns(And, More than likely shootouts too/LOL), As for JDL, I'm very happy that cats like JDL, And, Spoonie G, Have both come home from doing pushes upnorth my man(Word), From what i understand, Spoonie G is getting back into the hiphop circuit stepping on stages in the New York area, And, I'm very sure JDL and the Coldcrush 4(Money Ray/Rip), Are still on the hiphop circuit too in New York.
Much Respect
