As mentioned on a previous post, the DJ Spinna version of this Agent K song is tough. I can't get over how funky the Bass player, Jonathan Moron (sp?), is. I read an interview done by Bass magazine a few years ago and his influences are some of the funkiest players and songs ever written IMHO (such as Parliament's Funkintelegy (sp?)featuring Bootsy). Anyone out there have recommendations for other songs featuring Moron? Preferably up-tempo like Rideaway?

All of the Groove Collective stuff. Actually, the Groove Collective is much better live than in the studio. Had a chance to talk to him during one of their concerts. Nice cat, too. He knows the instrument and he knows the history of it! Peace.

Peace.

When I first heard "Whatugot" from Groove Collective's first lp I remember thinking, that bass player is special.

Listen to "Drunken Master", "Everything is Changing", "Up all Night" has a mean breakdown!!

I'm not sure if this is Jonathon Moran on the bass but the USG mix of "Deal with it" on Hip Bone is a lovely bassline!!!

Thanks for the info peeps. I'll search for those cuts so I can hear some more of Jonathon's groove!
