Other than that, hell no!

without a doubt.
it can't hurt to try it, right?

I've done a couple of "celebrity" parties, and others where celebrities were in attendence (NFL/NBA players, big name radio personalities, etc). I've done the ski trips and the boat rides playing house alongside the top hip-hop radio djs.
In the past, I was taking any parties that came my way. I would sacrifice my whole purpose of being a dj - the love of soulful house - and I would accept parties that I knew I'd have to play that same ol' perculator and follow me and shake dat ass kind of stuff. It doesn't take a genius to realize that doing those types of parties will not lead to playing at the clubs that I would really want to be playing at. The money was ok, but I'm not DJing for the money, so doing those celebrity parties really did nothing for me.

as a matter of fact i used to have a residency at club Narcisse here in Chicago. celebrities used to throw private parties there all the time. one time Sting threw a party there and my homie (there were 3 of us who held down the residency) accidentally threw on a track that had sampled from a Police song. needless to say Sting was asking to see the record and what not, trying to find out who had illegally sampled from his song.

absolutely... I have, and it was lots of fun (and good dough, too). I wouldn't want to do it all the time, though.
