Went to the club last night for about two hours. At the club everyone was in a festive mood about the game,as it was playing on wide screen.I decided to stop by a family members house to watch the game and hangout. On the way to my cousins house,i noticed that in the hood everyone was watching the game.As i passed buildings and houses that lined the streets in this African American community,i heard brothers and sisters laughing, yelling at the tv screen having a merry time.I wondered to myself will these same people put this amount of energy to the impending presidential election?
Do they know that this is one of the most important elections in history?
Will the same numbers the superbowl got, show up at the polls?
So i finally arrive at my cousins house and ask the young men that were there what they think about the election coming up.The overall answer and sentiment was "It doesnt matter who gets elected, its gonna be the same bullshit as it always was".Indeed a sign of the times.

It's funny that people say such things about politics only. However, they don't know that the same is true in sports, entertainment etc and those same folk think for some reason that it's more fair than politics. Do they think that the winners of sports contests aren't decided prior to the game? Think about it. And, they don't even have the option to place a vote on that at all. Strange indeed.

Very sad.How can you be upset with the establishment if you arent willing to change it?I think some of us in the 18-45 year old age range have our priorities all screwed up.So tommorow will come and go will little to no interest to many people.

It's easy for people to get fed up trying. A lot of people have developed apathy through experience....you vote and nothing changes, promises are broken, liberties are taken.
I can see both sides of the arguement...."Don't vote, you'll only encourage the bastards" vs. "If you don't like something change it; if you can't change it, change the way you think about it."
