Demarkus Lewis "Southern Goods EP"
A: U-Too. (http://www.flatandround.com/ram/FAR002a1.ram)
B1: No No No No. (http://www.flatandround.com/ram/FAR002b1.ram)
B2: I See You. (http://www.flatandround.com/ram/FAR002b2.ram)
Dallas based Deep House luminary Demarkus Lewis follows up Chris Lum's opener for this exiting Manchester based imprint with this stunning 3 tracker of deep for the dancefloor grooves. On the A side "U Too" takes sizeable beats, honey toned vocal snatches, a standing to attention brass and a mesmeric synth to produce a smooth but questioning ride with plenty of punch for the dancefloor. Flip over to B1 and "No No No No" has an infectious bassline, shimmering synth keys and Demarkus's trademark ultra tight production style. On B2 "I See You" gazes longingly, courtesy of strict breaks, smooth jazzy chords, captivating keys, reaching high strings and focused vocals.
