I have Logic 8. But I wasn't able to install it until I upgraded the OS to 10.5 (Leopard). But once o did that it took up a lot of space on the hard drive. And now there is no room to install Logic. If I hook up an external drive will I then be able to install and run the program from it.

The upgrade filled your harddrive? WHat's the size of the program? What's the size of your harddrive? Is your new OS on a partitioned section of your harddrive? Perhaps other partitioned areas are open.

I don't recommend running Logic or any large program from an external drive. Each time that I've tried it, I've had problems.

yes ...
just make sure you save each session as a project folder. so your files wont get seperated and sometimes downconverted.

Man I was looking into installing Logic 8 the other day. It comes with a TON of extra crap you may want to delete, like gigs of sound effects for video and all the apple loops kits for garage band. I don't think there's ever been a sequencer that comes with so much content.
