Best game of the Tournament. By far.

Mark Lew needs to open up a big man camp. His big men at Gonzaga (Violette, Turiaf, Gourde, Fox) are some of the most fundamentally sound pivot men I've seen in a long time. I've watched the Zags the last couple of years, and their footwork and movement without the ball is unmatched. That's why they got open shots off cuts. Lew's big man camp may take some of Pete Newell's profits (and that's saying something). Stay away from that UCLA job (sorry Albert D).

As for Arizona, Zona's backcourt looked as if they were too fast for the 'Zaga. But then they went to sleep, and Stepp (Gonzaga) got hot. That's why it went 2OTs. Turiaf fouling out hurt Gonzaga.

Say Einnod23, I agree with you about Mark Lew(Gonzaga's coach)my man, Mark Lew is one of the best coaches on the college circuit for the past 5-6 years, Hopefully he will stay at Gonzaga(The college game needs alot more stability from the Coaches across the country)rather than step for the scholarships(Money), Coaches need to Build their programs up and create some kind of Legacy before you step(Leave to go to another school for the stacks/Money), But, This cat Mark Lew is well schooled in the fundementals of the game hard(It's a joy to watch for me), I would love to see the big Kid for Central Michigan(Chris Kamins)down with Gonzaga, Shit they would probably take it(When the Championship), Chris Kamins rocked Duke(Even though Central Michigan got scratched), But this cat(Chris Kamins)is only a Junior with very good footwork and drop steps(Low post moves), And i know scouts are already on his to come to the show(NBA). As for anyone Taking any profits away from Pete Newell's Big man's camp in Hawaii over the summer, That is saying alot(LOL).

Oh, My goodness. I wrote about the Gonzaga big men before I saw Chris Karam. Did you see how Karam spinned, put the ball between his legs, layed it in with one hand and clapped the backboard with the other hand???????? That was one game where if it would have been close, Duke would have had to go zone (Coach K NEVER goes zone). Put it bluntly, He was housin' em!!!!!

Karam's my preseason first team All America next year, even over Okafor (Emekor needs some offensive polishing). Peace

Say Einnod23, Mike Krzyzewski has always played alot of zones through the years money(LOL), Going back to the days when cats like Gene Banks,Kenny Dennard,John Harrell,Vince Taylor(Who played for the New York Knicks in the early 80's)were down with Duke in 1980(Mike Krzyzeski's first year at Duke, Taking over for Bill Foster, The thing is the media soups Mike Krzyzeski up for being strictly a man to man defensive style coach(Because of his very close ties to Bobby Knight, who was well known for playing strictly man to man in the 70's, But Bobby Knight learned the science/The Game from Pete Newell who used to coach at University of San Francisco in the 1950's and Both Bobby Knight and Pete Newell are very, very, close friends and both share the same coaching Stratagies and Philosophy), And What Mike Krzyzeski does is play a match up zone(Like cats do in the Show/NBA), Were you cover a spot/position on the court and swing with the ball and sometimes pressure the dribbler(John Chaney at Temple is one of the best when it comes to playing match up zone defenses to me), But you just disguise your defense were it looks like your playing a zone, But, If you send a cutter through(The Lane)And a cat follows him through, Then you know the other team is playing a match up zone, Duke does play alot of zone, Especially when they go against a cat/cats they can't check(Guard), Also, Duke's horses(Big men)are weak, So they most definitely have to play alot more Zone than what Mike Kryzewski would like, But Duke plays excellent help defense, Were alot of cats on Duke always help each other out and draw alot of charges on cats(Except for cats who see the floor and have a very good feel for the game like say Tj Ford from Texas). Chris Kamins in a throwback(Old School Horse),There are Very few of these cats(Nice Big men)around anymore(NBA or College), The days of playing man to man for 40 minutes in College are long gone, Alot of Todays coaches are very inexperienced when it comes to teaching cats how to play D(Playing man to man), The last team that played man to man the whole game on the regular that i can remember was Indiana in 1976 with Quinn Buckner,Bobby Wilkerson,Scott May Kent Benson,Tom Abernathy, etc, But the odd thing is all of those cats were crazy weak in the show(NBA), Even though i always felt Kent Benson would have been a very nice in the show, But Kareem ruined that when he stepped to him(Punched him in the face)in his(Kent Benson's)first game, After that Kent Benson definitely lost his confidence.
