What is the most desired vinyl you have in your collection that is rare and you know is worth some money. People might hate on you because you have this cut.
Or even state a record you have that is worth big $$$ on ebay and don't understand why.

show the goodies.

it's O.K. to brag.
Happy Holidays

Promo copy of "On and ON"- Jesse Saunders -Jes-say.
I still don't know why it's desired, the track sounds spooky.

I don't have anything that rare imo.Then again,I have a Stopp-I'm hungry.That's going for a lot of bread nowadays.

The only rare lp I want ..JMJ has. :D Make it last forever.I would be happy with it on cd,just haven't had 25 bucks to spare for a jap. import, but it's just been my holy grail for damn near 20 years.

BTW,JMJ,I noticed that you had a few other joints on that cd.Brainwash got me.Put it on a cd last nite.Damn good edit man.

Mainly most of my Italo stuff (which the majority of the peeps on the board have). Namely Pineapples "Come on Closer" and Stopp "I'm Hungry". I collect Madonna stuff for selling. Madonna fans will pay a grip for her promo's so I've got quite a bit of her stuff that goes for lot's o' loot...

I got "Fantasy Girl" on SRO.

But why does this track sell for so much on ebay.
It's a classic and all but was it rare?
Where there only little copies pressed?

Where there only little copies pressed? Remember that is one of the early acid tunes. It was a small chicago label.I have one, kinda worn out from hot mixing, but I still have one.

Funny thing was that "Your Love" really wasn't that popular when it came out on vinyl. I think part of the reason was because the Persona version sucked, plus now ANYBODY could get it, rather than only certain DJ's having the good versions on reel or cassette......JMJ

Equinox Chapter One EP (Retroactive)

Evolution EP - BFC (Fragile original pressing)

Virtual Sex comp. (Buzz)

Relics-A Transmat Compilation (Buzz)

Altered States - Ron Trent (Warehouse)

early B12s 1-8 (Redcell, Musicology etc)

Evolution Records 1-6 (Reload, Global
Communication etc)

early Aphex material (not house but still rare)

Planet Earth - Brother From Another Planet (7th City)

Drama EP - H&M (Axis, one of the rarer ones apparently)

3rd From The Sun EP - Dan Curtin (33rpm/Sinewave)

A few I can think of, but some are probably easier to find than a lot of early house from the mid 80s.

*sealed* copy of A Number of Names- "Sharivari" on CAPRICCIO records. The first detroit techno record, pressed in 1981. Only 100 of these pressed on the Capriccio label.

CH-BB bootleg. Only 100 pressed. A bootleg record of all four CH-BB 10minute tapes. CH-BB is the first name for the infamous group Liasons Dangereuses "los ninos del parque" etc.

Jesse Saunders "On and On" white label.

Cybotron "Alleys of your mind" 7" on deepspace records. (the second ever detroit techno record).

I have a number of the Sunshine Sound 10" acetates, including Donna Summer "I need love" which was Francois K's first ever remix.

here a a few.
dance music only...

Most of my Trax, D.J Int. & Jes Say vinyl stuff is Test Pressings. My most fav. is my original copy of On & On (Toot-Toot, Beep-Beep) with the ultimate cheat mix on the flip. I've had the Donna McGee-Promo, Sylvia Striplin-Promo and all that stuff since they came out. I've been TRULY blessed. I'd say at least 70 to 75% of my collection are white label.

I have been living in Osaka for two years now. I managed to pick up a lot of early house stuff in the bargain bins. I used to really dig Nu Groove in the early 90's and stupidly sold a lot but I managed to pick up most of their catalog (the ones worth having Konders,Bhurrel,Beltram etc)in the bins as well.I collect a lot of funk, Jazz, soul, etc. as well and I know the funk/soul/jazz collectors pay big money for some stuff. Many guys collect records just top have trophy pieces to stick to their walls. I might have a problem slapping a $500 record on my decks as well.
In house what 12's are really rare and hard to find? Do you think house music will have the same fervent collectors as funk etc in the future
The only 12 I see on ebay that I own and goes for good money is

Ce Ce Rogers-Someday
Also e2e4-manuel gottsching OG
33rd queen-searchin
might be worth something
