$15!

ĦAy, Papi! That's too much for this poor mexican man.

I'll wait till I see them in Detroit in a couple of weeks.

A great set by the Detroit crew! I heard some nice classics, eletronic old school, and some of their own material. Marcellous, Rick Wilhite, Theo and Kenny kick some ass Friday night!

Theo was on point AGAIN. hail.gif

Kenny played the last hour I think, but the bulk was theo as far as I could tell.

When Kenny played that nina simone to open I lost it. Then he played that mahogany...

I was in heaven.

A great night, never stopped dancing except to pour water on my head..

Good seeing some DHP peeps there.

Today will be recovery.... (laundry)

Yeah I definitely needed to go, we were just trying to work the bouncers to work something for us. $15 is steep when you just threw down $1000 for a security deposit... : \

It was a great night tho. graemlins/OLA.gif

Hey, yall! I went last night and LOVED, LOVED the music. As an old timer who is just now discovering that there still is a house scene, I am still adjusting to the differences I see when I go out, but all in all, last night was very cool.

And, one of my very favorite songs--DISCO FEVER--got played, so I was super, duper, ri-durn-diculously happy!

Wish I knew what some of yall looked like, I would have come over and introduced myself (I was one of few sistas in the joint, with a kinda big afro).

Hey all,

I had a good time. Theo played at least 2hrs, not as hot as his last set in Chicago, but really enjoyable anyway. He played an old school sounding "jakin" track, 909 drums and snares ONLY, off of a CD. He also played this last time he gigged in Chicago. Anybody know what this is?

Also, Rick Wilhite only played about 30 minutes, and Kenny Dixon played only about 40 minutes. What was this about?

Don't get me wrong, I really thought the music was great, but how can they headline Kenny on the flier and he only plays 40 minutes?

all the best!

I know exactly which track you are referring to. When he played it at superlounge it sounded much better though. AT smartbar it was too scratchy from over-amplified hi's.

I asked around on this board about that same track and was told it was the instrumental of some Robert Owens Track.

I am pretty sure this is the same track. smile.gif

thanks, Ligament The track that was referred was Robert Owens 'I'm Strong' which was an Alleviated 12 as well as on R&S in Europe. Theo played this or a variation here in London recently as well.

Hey jurren,

thanks for the link, but the track theo was playing off cd is NOT the one on the hardy mix you are telling me of, although it is dope!

The one I am talking about is ONLY 909 sounds, kicks and claps and hats, thats it, no synths at all, just a stripped out raw jackin track. It was the only track he played off cd that night.

thanks for the link though!
regards.

Just checked another page, and it was discussed but not named, the only thoughts are it's a future Theo production, cos it's off of CDR?
