View Full Version : Ladies why is it that some of you get all evil and roll your eyes

When a brother looks at you.On the train this morning,i saw a very beautiful darkskinned woman, she had to be a model.I have never seen skin so georgeous and flawless in my life.So i am reading the metro newspaper, and i glance up at this woman casually and she rolled her eyes at me point blank. It was one of those eye rolls that little key-lolo gives to the boys for pulling her hair on the playground.I was like"oh no she di-int".Thing is i wasnt looking at her in a sexual way as most men do for obvious reasons. Its just natural for a man to look at a beautiful woman regardless of what he might be into to.Ladies lighten up!!!!!

The answer to your question can be found in the lyrics of Sweet Pussy Pauline (unfortunately, I gots no link or cut-n-paste)
sump'n like "There wouldn't be so many half sick grouchy ass women if they could get a complete good f***, baby"

Actually that's from "The Sensuous Black Woman" by The Madam.
But I digress ....

I had a young lady roll her eyes on me one time in college after I very politely said hello as she was walking by. I wasn't even trying to holla. My boy ended messing with her friend who said she was a little stuck up.
A few months later I saw her at a party begging this one dude for attention (supposedly her man). She kept saying "why are you ignoring me??" & "Why are you acting like this?" He just ignored her & walked away. She saw that I noticed her whole ordeal. I had a good laugh at her expense.

I blame no one but ourselves, gents. I've seen how some of our fellow bretheren approach some of these young ladies. They have absolutely NO game and are tacky & vulgar in their approach. They try rapping to the women with not so subtle innuendos and completely talk down to them. Then when they get no play they get upset and curse the girl out because THEY f*cked it up for themselves. This sets up a bad precedent and now the women get defensive whenever they sense someone may have an interest in them.
At least that is my take on it.

The art of conversation is gone.I like to talk to people, even strangers. When you try and strike up a conversation with people nowadays they look at you like you are insane.Even the little stuff like the weather, gets you pegged as a nutcase.

I had a friend in college who could "roll the hayle outta her eyes" and nobody would be saying anything to her that would warrant such a response. I asked her what the deal was? And she was like "I was just thinking about something else" (unrelated to our discussion).
In fact, I have a coworker who rolls & flutters her eyes without her even knowing. I make her look at me straight in the face. What I have concluded is that she is rolling them so as to NOT have to give eye contact.
And then ANSWER C is that some folk are just plain rude.
The D ANSWER she might have really had an eye problem.

Possible symptom of ABW (Angry Black Woman) syndrome.
Just guessing.

I cant help but to agree with Magic Juan. Some guys are just disrespectful to some women for no reason. And if the woman doesnt respond back sometimes she is verbally abused.I have heard guys say "F that B".Im like Dude you just try to scoop that "B" you are talking about.Unfortunealty some women have pegged all men as this type.
what is it with that? i always hold the door open and the last several years it seems like i get dissed for doing so...
I don't know what thats about man. Its annoying as hell though.
If I go through a series of doors and hold the first one as I'm walking in and I don't get a thank you, the next one I go through I literally walk up a few steps faster and slightly open it enough so that I can fit through, making them have to oopen the door themselves. . . hehehe and that goes for men and women.

Some of them are use to getting a lot of play so they feel their s***t don't stink. Some of them feel only a certain type of man can even think about approaching or looking at them.

I prefer the term "mature" when talking about a black woman of a certain age.
i can only speak for myself....it just gets to a point where everytime you look up someones staring at you...its not YOU its just....sometimes we dont want attention...and dont let us put our guards down and smile politely.....you fellas take it as an invitation for conversation.....and its rarely geniune or casual...

While I appreciate your point, its sorta hard to embrace compliments when
you constantly are hit on by men you encounter during the course of a workday, sometimes it's just a throw off b/c they may be trying to hide something they don't want exposed or trying to get on your good side or who knows what their motive is, I don't want to hear it

The best way to a young girl's heart these days........................shoot at her and call her a B*tch. They like that type of stuff, unless another girl does it to them, then it's a fight. When we were younger I had a friend that had two boyfriends in two different jails. She was gone every weekend on the bus with no draws on  she told me "girl, the boys in prison know how to treat me."

what you guys dont realize is that we've been getting the looks and the comments long before it was even appropriate! ive been 5'10 since i was 12 so you can imagine....by the time i was at an age that i could appreciate a compliment...any and all compliments felt like WRONG...its jut now in my old age that i can appreciate a compliment when phrased correctly...but not really....
i think its not up to the woman to dress differently but men need to become more aware of their own actions what they say and how they look at women....you may think you just glancing....but dude..its written ALL OVER YOUR FACE!!!! :jpshakehead:

Some years back when Fletch(sic, TAC started it) started a similar thread I did an informal tally of the number of men who tried to talk to me in any way- polite, impolite, flirty, raunchy, simple greeting- over the course of a day walking in Brooklyn to illustrate this point, responding to all of that energy is exhausting and the expectation of any response is intrusive. On that day I counted 31 discrete verbal encounters. It was not a particularly heavy day and I was not dressed in a way that was provocative or remarkable and tellingly I only counted verbalizations not looks. And to those who say, "you'll miss the attention when its gone," one of the few things I enjoy about winter is the protection of a heavy overcoat and the measure of respite from unwanted attention it brings.
EDIT: I found the thread. It is worth reading if only because the tenor of discussion was kinda different back then, for the good and the bad... http://deephousepage.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12721&highlight=twisted
