Are you sure it isn't a reissue? I've noticed TONS of previously hard to get records have been booted/reissued and they look exactly the same as the originals.

This includes a lot of the Atlantic promos (Goody Goody 'It Looks Like Love,' 'Trammps 'Disco Inferno,' etc.)

Major is the first issue...I had this discussion with Sadar some time ago.

I prefer the Atlantic issue.

I prefer the Atlantic issue.

The boots are usuall ya scan of the original label.The coloring is slightly off.

You also can check in the end of the record at the runoff number.

If it doesn't match up with what's on the label,it's a boot.

Pretty sure the reissue is of the Atlantic press. Maybe the deadwax will give it away... but you can usually tell from the label being a digital scan of the original label... the edges of the text are too sharp.

Bingo. Another giveaway I'd like to add is that the original pressings usually have a glossy matte finish on the label (this is particularly true of most major label releases). The reissues/boots, on the other hand, are dull.

A prime example of this is the reprint of Black Ivory "Mainline." Compare it with an original press and you will see the difference.
