in 94 seeing sven vath in an abandoned resturant
I drove to San Antonio from Austin (50 miles) to see Steve Hurley, it was a last minute thing for me. I hadn't heard about it until that day. It was at a gay club, but I didn't care. I wanted to see one of the Original HotMix 5 spin live hail.gif .

About 14 years ago I was walking past the old Lonestar Cafe on 5th ave. and 12th st. I couldn't help but notice that someone was ripping it up on stage cuz the sound was so loud it was perfectly clear on the outside. From the sidewalk, I looked through a crack in a curtain on a window and lo and behold, none other than James Brown was tearing a hole in that place. I had a pretty good view so I stayed for the rest of his show, standing outside in the cold, with only about 30 feet and a pane of glass between me and JB. It's days like those that you think to yourself "this is why I live in New York".

M ycousin and I were just finished doing a party. We have the knack to find parties. This time we went to the north side.We drove on Milwaukee,we were actually going to Red Dog.We saw a lt of folks going into a loft.We looked at each other and said"Let's check this out.."
Low and behold,it was a loft jam at the legendary spot on Milwaukee. There was Derrick Carter,Diz,Mark Farina and Mike Pierce, who I knew from high-school.
We partied til 8 that morning. Then we smoked some of the most potent herb with Diz.That was one of the best parties I had been too.All jocks were banging it.This was in 93.

Mine would have to be while driving through Chicago southside in the summers' of the 80's crashing house/backyard parties that would cater to ones every need with the most friendly host/hostess and a last minutes DJ that would end up to be one of the top non commercial DJ's that would bang the box. Awesome!!! graemlins/thumbsup.gif
