That was a truly special event, and I didn't want it to be anything but what it was last year. For those who are not aware, it was, an indoor/outdoor daytime party with free BBQ, free snacks at the bar (fruit and cheese), the sickest line-up (Osunlade, DJ Spinna, Rich Medina, Karizma, Ian Friday, Adam Gibbons, Cecil, and myself), the friendliest staff and the BEMBE vibe for $10.

One of my favorite moments:
Patron: "Are you serious? Single moms, $5?"
me: "Yup"
Patron: "Smiles, hands over a $5 and proceeds to party like it's 1999!!"


anyway, the short answer is, no BEMBE this year. I don't want to have a party for the sake of having a party, there are plenty of those at WMC.

I saw Tamara sing- very natural performer and all the Afro Mosaic Soul crew doing their thing. Any news on when you will finish Tamara's album ?
