If you are producing good house music and your music is unsigned, then this contest is just for you! We are looking for talented individuals with ambition, creativity, and a willingness to take a chance. Your deadline is Friday, November 21, 2003.

If you advance in the competition, you will be required to fill out and agree to all of the terms & conditions of additional forms, including a non-exclusive Master License Agreement.
West End Records is fully entitled to conduct any background checks related to the contest, at their discretion.
ALL FORMS MUST BE FILLED OUT COMPLETELY AND THUTHFULLY. IF YOU FAIL TO COMPLETE ANY OF OUR REQUIRED FORMS OR FAIL TO REVEAL ANY PERTINENT INFORMATION, YOU MAY BE DISQUALIFIED.

By participating, you agree that all rules, requirements, and decisions set forth by West End Records, the voting audience, and the panel of judges shall be final and binding.
West End Records reserves the right to use your performance, appearance, name, voice, singing voice, likeness and any musical sound effects produced by you or any persons assisting in the production and writing of your submission, in connection with any television programs, motion pictures, or the internet for all purposes, including advertising, marketing, promotion, merchandising and the exploitation of any and all ancillary and subsidiary rights.; as same be edited, in all media, throughout the universe, in perpetuity for no compensation, unless other required by law.
If you or any persons assisting in the production and writing of your submission do no wish to participate or do not agree with the terms and conditions, PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER AND STAY OUT OF THE CONTEST. Failure to do so will be conclusively deemed to be a waiver or any and all claims. All federal, state, and local laws apply.
Disqualifications

We reserve the right to disqualify and/or exclude, at our sole and absolute discretion, any individual from participating for any reason or for no reason at all, including, and without limitation, violation of any portion of these rules and eligibility requirements, or tampering with the submissions or voting process. We also reserve the right to change the rules and procedures at any time.
Your participation and selection to compete, at any level, in the contest does NOT ensure that you will be selected to continue to the next phase.
Agreement - Top 10 Submissions

If you should be selected to advance to the top ten, you agree to enter into a non-exclusive Master License Agreement with West End Records to be included on a West End Records compilation album.
Terms of the license agreement are:
Advance: $US350.00
Royalty Rate: 17% pro rata to 10
Term: 5 years from date of release
Artist: TBA
Title of Track: TBA
Mix of track: TBA
Compilation: "West End Records International Music Search 2K3 Top Ten"
Territory: World/Universe
Master Recording: Your musical submission
Records: Shall mean Compact Disc, Vinyl and Digital Downloads reproducing the Master Recording
A long form agreement will be required.
Agreement - Winner

If you are selected as the winner of the West End International Music Search 2K3, you agree to enter into a Master Recording Purchase Agreement with West End Records, for use as a single record release, detailed as follows:
Advance: $US2,000.00
Royalty Rate: 17%
Co-publishing agreement: 50/50
Term: Life of copyright
Territory: Universe
Master Recording: Your musical submission
Records: Shall mean Compact Disc, Vinyl and Digital Downloads reproducing the Master Recording
A long form agreement will be required.
Grand Prize

If you are chosen as the winner of the West End International Music Search 2K3, you and a guest will be eligible for a 4 night, 5 day trip to the Winter Music Conference 2004. Airfare and accommodations will be at the sole expense of West End Record Company, including all registration fees to attend the WMC 2004. Incidentals, food, travel while at the WMC and party admissions will not be covered.
