I just heard it on Traxsource. If I was a dj I'd be waiting on this cut

I love the lyrics and the beat. Nice and soulful vocals. It reminds me of a tune Frankie Knuckles would play.

Yeah, I like the lyrics on this, too... "Rough Times" is a remake of an Angela Bofill album track and is very faithful to Angela's original. The vinyl EP has two other songs that make for one of the strongest packages out in a minnit.

The Sunburst Band makes dope ass shyt. I think they are very overlooked, but not by me.

Yeah its great, i like a lot SBB's stuff, Far Beyond is in my record case all the time.
SBB can sound a little to superficial/shallow now and then but over all, great productions.

there is also a version by Duron Tarik & Demarco Blackmond ft Keisha Hall on eclectic records from the early 2000s... (no date on label.. nothing on discogs)..
loving the new Sunburst Band version.. gives it more energy and a slightly different vibe... and look out for the new album coming in the summer..

Yeah! I didn't know Ashford & Simpson wrote that!

I bought Angela Bofill "Angel of the Night" LP last month and was enjoying it and was checking her other discography and saw (and heard) "Rough Times" from her "Angie" LP which I might also have to get. This Sunburst Band EP is a winner with 3 tracks "Rough Times/He Is/Turn It Out".
