Is the "Pull Up To The Bumper" version that is featured there, the Larry Levan mix?

Peace.

Man, I am looking for that version. Does anyone know if it was ever released on vinyl? Also, erd, which mix do you speak of?

The Larry Levan mix was only released as a promo, I guess.
But it was also on a boot called "Classic Mixes Vol.2" which is quite hard-to-get right now.

Peace.

Let me know if you find out any more info on the promo. I would love to have it.

I'm not sure if it's what you are referring to, but I have a Compass Point All Star 12" called "Peanut Butter" which is actually an instrumental dub of Pull Up To The Bumper.*
On the flip is Rappa Rappa Rhythm by the Tom Tom Club.

I don't know if it came out commercially, but it was given away as a free 12" with a Island LP called Genius Of Rap, listed as a special rhythm track for DIY rapping!

These are the instructions on the label:
"Non-Stop rappin' is the game. Put this single on and rap yourself silly.
Linguistic gymnastics in the comfort of your own home."

*mixed by Steve Stanley

Thanks, Jeremy. The thing on Copicat#2 is also called "Peanut Butter".

So, where does the Levan mix fit in?

Peace.

FK is the one to ask about that.

I have a double CD from Grace called the Compass Point sessions or something like that, and I remember it had various versions and unreleased mixes of loads of tracks, but I haven't come across it in a while since this question came up last.

The 12" I have of Peanut Butter on Island has Junior Tucker on the B Side...

No mention of LL anywhere on the label.
