Duane Bradley

I read in a very brief article that Duane Bradley passed away some time ago (late 90's?). I am trying to find more info on him, but I come up with nothing. Can anyone tell me more details about him? I know he had a few mixes on the early Inner City releases. Does anyone know what the cause of his demise was?

Are there any other mixes by him floating out there? There is one mix in the DHP archives by him from when he was a jock on WJLB. One dude I know credits him with introducing the Chicago House sound to Detroit, but that could be just his perspective.

Any info is appreciated.

I know it's stating the obvious but have you tried Discogs. They detail his professional relationship with Collier et al.

Maybe you could find more info searching through these?

I didn't find much on Discogs. Had a link to an article where someone writes in detail about him, but it is now dead. I also wanted some feedback from Detroitheads and their experience during this time.

The search continues.

He used to be the resident DJ for the original Soul Night - Monday nights at Taboo. Real cool cat with some decent skills. As you can see in the photo, real suave type of guy.

Duane Bradley was very helpful in spreading Chicagos house sound to the city of Detroit. Not only was he on the radio but he was also tied in with a local TV station kinda like their SoulTrain of Detroit. He not only put me and my brother Jesse Saunders up in his house but arranged for us to perform both our records we had out at the time on that TV station.Chicago and Detroit owe a lot to this pioneer and promoter of the House Music Sound. Its guys like Duane that embodies the spirit the love and the leadership to get behind a music scene and embrace a sound at the very beginning of its life.We will forever be indebted to Duane in the mix Bradley.I love you God Bless.
