Can't rember the artist "Me Tarzan You Jane"
Yello "I Love You/Bostich" [Stiff/WB UK 12"]
Rick Lenour "Tikkle"
Madonna "Everybody"
YMO "Computer Games LP" [A&M Yello Vinyl Promo]
a cool dub record on factory - can anyone identify ?
Crown Heights Affair "Dreaming a Dream" [De Lite]
Georgio Moroder "E=MC2 LP" [Casablanca Promo]
First Choice "Love THang - Tee Scott Mix" [Salsoul Promo]
can't remember the artist "Just In Time" [West End Promo]

hope all is well in your end...speak soon! graemlins/OLA.gif

c- </font>
hey Chris... graemlins/OLA.gif so far, the digging hasn't been that bad but nowhere near the finds i had in the past especially this summer. and it's been especially dry trying to find those 1980s r&b and club records (thankfully, Klas helped get my fix via cd) hail.gif "just in time": mixed by David Todd and Nick Martinelli of Watchout Productions, one of the premier remix/production teams of the eighties. i think David Todd (RIP) was a resident spinner at Philadelphia's "Catacombs", their answer to the "PG"...

he had a good boogie cut called "nightime kind of lover" that was quite good of the same 1983 album.
can't go wrong with Lime especially with "you're my magician"...actually, "your love" was the first 12-inch single i bought with "come and get your love on the flip"...a bergenline ave. classic...
Kiddo was in the spotlight for a minute back in 83-84 for A&M records and then seemed to disappear...he was based in Ohio if my memory serves me right...
"stubborn kind of fella" is a solid, overlooked disco record as well...great call Andrew! :D

Kelvy, I like Night Time Lover, more "boogie"-ish, like you say. Could It Be Love has that shuffle beat like Murphy's Law by Cheri. It was quite popular in Montreal and mine is a pressing on a tiny Canadian label.
I'd like to know more about Klas' Colors record too. I really like Pay Me Back My Love.

I only got one record this week, but it's a good one.
Park Ave "Don't Turn Your Love" Movin Records #2 from 87.
The mixes are done by Tee Scott and Blaze.
I am trying to get as much of the Movin' catalogue as I can. I searched for every artist on the lable today and came up with 3 records. The other two, Elan "Press Your Body" and Vicky Martin "Nowhere To Run" are in my stash :D

Hey, Kelvy has an Eastside Connection...get him AR15firing.gif The Womack and Womack came from a record store here where there was about 400 12s sitting behind the counter forever. They kept saying they were going to put them out but never did. Finally they gave in and let me and a friend go through them. My friend got a Lace - Can't Play Around promo out of there. Hot. Let me know if you see one of those. The guys at that place crack me up. I'm always hassling them about the stuff behind the counter, so when I get one and they have to price it, they give me the hardass face and say "$1.20", like they're really sticking it to me. graemlins/rofl.gif graemlins/rofl.gif
The Our Darkness is great. It has Join in the Chant on it too.
Go Kelvy on the EC! Nice!

oh yeah I got several cool 80's/boogie things too. Kelvy, ever heard of a record called "Cop Bop"? hey Klas! graemlins/cheering.gif great to hear you're getting some great music especially the 80s boogie ones...about that "Cop Bop", i don't know if i exactly seen it, but is it an Italian record circa 1983 with reference to a "disco cop"???? the reason why i ask is that i saw a record kind on the same lines when i visited a record shop in Rome last year (Metropol Rock, which i highly suggest if you're ever in Rome) and was thinking of picking it up but my buget was kind of tight and i had to forsake that record....nevertheless, bring on the lists...i'll try to get mine up by later today or tomorrow....have a great week! </font>
Portable Patrol feat. the "Disco Cop"- "Cop Bop" on Aerial Records 1982...looks to be a US record
Kelvy, I think you'd also be into these;
Master Jam "Dancin All Night" 2nd to none records (washington D.C.) no year?
Colors "Am I Gonna Be The One" First Take(NY) Shep Pettibone Mix , no year on this one either?
Kim Lewis "(Let's All)Fantasize" 3C Records 1983(Same label as Steven Abdul Khan/Tee Scott mix)
Jean Wells "I Just Can't Stop Dancing" TEC 1979 </font>
you got some heat in there Klas! smile.gif :D The group "Colors" released a song titled "Pay Me Back My Love" on Prelude records back in 1986 which i think was the second-to-last record released on that label (the swan song title was "your love" by satin, silk, and lace before they closed for good.) </font>
Hey Kelvy, Yeah that's the record, only the one I found the other day was a white label... it's pretty good...
hey it can be yours if you wanna swap that eastside connection... I'll even throw in something else too... :D </font>
hey Klas, i'm going to get to you via email by tomorrow...check your email! :D

All were free or very cheap graemlins/thumbsup.gif dang....you got some heat in there! that "get ready for the future" song came out in 1978 on ariola and it's a Loft classic...Brian and Zan's "Pump Your Body" is a very good boogie record from around 1983 which is distinguished by an all-encompassing guitar bass and percussion that are in stark contrast with the electric piano...i've only heard a sample of that song online.
now that Blyss feat. Krystal Davis "No Turning Back" is some hot sh**! that came out in 1986 on "Urban Rock Records" and what instantly drew me to the record was the keyboards done by Fred Zarr, who if i remember correctly, used to do a lot of the keyboards for Began Cekic (BC) records???? uptempo, synth rollergroove backed by a chorus that sings "there's no turning back. no not this time..." and you've got to love the break with just the drum machine pattern on it when the keys start come back in....and if you ever come across Krystal Davis's "So Smooth" from 1985 which i think was also on Urban Rock records, grab it! it's slower than "no turning back" and has a moody, sleazy synth feel (around the 105 bpm neighborhood) that i fell head over heels for. graemlins/1luvu.gif

How does that Goldie Alexander sound like? what year is it?

Kelvy, the Goldie Alexander on Chaz-Ro is a must-have. The first time I ever heard it was as a near-new release on an oddball bootleg compilation cassette a friend bought in the Philippines. It's got "that" sound.

I really enjoy reading these threads though, even if I dont know 80% of the stuff y'all are talking about, someday in the future I will recall it from memory and be like "damn, this was that record Kelvy was saying has such and such singing...." and that would be cool or something.
