Playlist for March/Out of town guest tonite Audio Infusion
What's up everybody. Sorry about the no post last week. Hectic week a work. Got alot to talk about
We have an exciting month for y'all. As the Winter Music Conference approaches, the new music out there is plentiful. In fact it's going to take awhile for me to give y'all all the goodies we have for the playlist for this month. Of course as always we have a great linep of guest dj's for this month starting with our out of town guest. He is relatively new on the producer scene, but he has some impressive releases so far. They are Altered States, and Muscle Man on This Mix Productions, King Kong on NY Soul Records and Kryponite EP on Unified Records was also a big tune towards the end of '07. So tune in and check our special guest dj Ronnie Ron from Ohio by way of New Jersey.
We also have this month DJ Divine (Bohemian Cavern, Soulstew DC), and Neil Conway (Soulkats, Soulpower Radio).

Playlist for March
Before I go on there was a thread two weeks ago on the deephousepage about the release of Ashford & Simpson release 'Hits, Remixes, & Rarities'. It is a two cd set with the first cd a collection of original, out of print, promo only to A-list dj's back in the day. Some cuts are exclusive12inch versions of Ashford & Simpson soul and disco releases, during their Warner Brother days. The second cd remixes with some of the best remixers out there today (Tom Moulton,Tommy Musto, Dimitri from Paris, Joe Claussell, Joey Negro and others). I have to say with all the r & b, and jazz greats remixed cd's that have came out recently (Curtis Mayfield, Nina Simone, Billie Holiday, Bob Marley etc) that represented sub-titles of this dance music we love (which is cool) this collection is my favorite to date. The remixes stays true to Ashford & Simpson original formula, while adding elements that have freshen their sound. Three weeks ago when I read the writeup of this release the one cut that I wanted to listen to was Joe Claussell's remix of Bourgie, Bourgie. I thought it was the best remix on the cd, but then I listened to rest of the cd. After listening to the whole cd, I can't say that Joe's mix is the best, because every cut is good, (and I like Joe's remix alot). Man listen to One More Try. (I'm sure Mr. David Mancuso appoves of this compilation). I was a kid when these songs was out, and after listening to this cd (in which I haven't stop listening to since I bought it two weeks ago), I have been re-INTRODUCED. Now to the playlist

Phil Asher presents Phlash & Friends - Political/Revolution - Archive. Mid-tempo/Track. Political is more for the mix cd with a message (MLK spoken word throughout the track). Political grows on you with each listen, but Revolution is more danceable. Any big room sound with Revolution playing in it should jump start your party. COP THIS
The Annointed Pace Sisters - High Praise Remix (Spen & Thommy Vocal Mix). Mid-tempo/Vocal. Spen & Thommy is becoming a dangerous duo. High Praise will have your hands in the air in high praise. COP THIS
Halo and Marlon D - Love Makes The World Go Round - Blue Iguana. Deep/ Spoken word/Dub It is a good song to play in the middle of a deep set, or to play as u bring your set down after u have banged them out.
Pirahnahead - Music - Whasdat. Deep/Mid-tempo/Dub. A classic already. One of the hottest joints out right now. COP THIS
Replay feat. Rhalmia - Everyday is Saturday - Tricircle. Banger/Track. Mixes from Neil'C Reconstructed Dub, DJ Ditch Delectro mix and instrumental,
Robbi Rivera Soul Afro, and midnight touch mix, along with original demo. The Neil' C mix is a banger while the soul afro, and midnight touch mix is a little bit laid back from Neil C's mix, but a nice compliment as each track compliments each other.
Stan Courtois - WMC '08- Deep & Midtempo/Vocal. I'm sure this will get alot of play at WMC in a few weeks. Soul Samba(Ferry - Stan Courtois Mix), Never Knew Love(Frank Savannah feat. Carol Jiani), and Spicy Disco is a really good mix of deep and mid-tempo that you can use in your dj set. COP THIS when it drops.
DJ Sai vs. Keith Thompson - Thoughts of Life - Jamlure International - Deep/Vocal. A deep mezmorizing groove that u can't resist.
Neo - Smile/ A Night in Marseille - Tricircle Deep - Deep/Vocal & Track - Feat. Rudy Wilburn vocals on Smile, also a mix fromYukihiro Fukutomi along with Soul Monkey and Blackjazz mixes in A Night in Marseille. These joints is pretty and jazzy. Wil Milton & Rodney Carter - Temple - Blank Ink. Deep/Vocal. Perfect joint to start off the weekend mix. My favorite joint by Wil & Rodney to date. COP THIS
