There is a error message. They should shut the fuck up.What youtube has done is given artists who might not have gotten heard a chance to be heard. It has given artists who have been long forgotten about a chance to live again. You cant have your cake and eat it too,you want the free publicity but at the same time you want to get paid for it.

the other thing is that there are some many music videos that consumers don't even know exist. Everyone is always blown away when someone posts some rare video here. If labels would make them available for sale, then that'd be one thing. But we have people uploading rare concert footage, studio footage, and videos because the labels aren't...even though the label paid for the footage in the first place...only to keep them in the vaults.
Everytime we see those "timelife presents" box sets commercials, they always show videos of the artists. Open the friggen vaults already.
I know the DHP legal team will chime in and say if it's being broadcasted, then money needs to be handed out. This is true, but how about making an alternative avenue for getting these videos legit? cough cough itunes store cough cough. Beats having to rip some shitty compressed flash version from youtube.
