DECEMBER 2--Alleged pedophile R. Kelly is one inventive guy. The 36-year-old R&B singer is under indictment on child porn charges in Florida (where he allegedly possessed illicit still images) and Illinois (where he supposedly filmed himself with a young girl). When he was nabbed earlier this year in Miami, Kelly told cops, according to the below police report, that "former managers" might have been trying to set him up, "taking pictures of people that look like me" cavorting with the underaged. Kelly has now extended that defense, as it were, to his Cook County case, according to a motion filed yesterday (http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/rkmorph3.html) . While simultaneously questioning whether his video co-star was a minor, Kelly notes that he might mount a "computer morphing" defense. The performer, it seems, may argue that some unknown conspirators digitally dropped him into the raunchy video (or, perhaps, replaced his of-age consort with a computer-generated partner based on an actual minor girl). This trial should be a hoot--especially when Kelly's legal team calls George Lucas as its first defense witness. Call it the Industrial Light & Magic defense.

Possibe. How many J-Lo and Brintney Spears look alike porn images do you receive in your spam e-mail. I know I receive alot and they look alot like them.
Read about this yeasterday in the Chicago Sun-Times. His defense team is claiming that his head was morphed onto someone else's body in the video. Experts stated that doing that would be near-impossible on a frame-by-frame basis for a full length (pardon the pun) video, as well as VERY time consuming to even attempt. The prosecution took pictures of R Kelly's torso to match against the body in the video. He's grasping at straws at this point in my opinion, but what do I know?......JMJ ;)

Who's going to take the time to do a whole movie??......JMJ

Also possibe he could have videotaped himself, just like the Pamela Lee and Paris Hilton tapes that were stolen and sold.

Morphing motion pictures is much more difficult than morphing a still, especially since R Kelly claims they attached his head to someone else's body. A more likely scenario would have been them morphing R Kelly's nude body into the video and digitally manipulating the movement, but where would they have gotten the image from?? How do you then explain penetration?? Next to impossible to do.....JMJ

I work in the field, and I can pretty much guarantee you that nobody except for MAYBE George Lucas could successfully replace his head without an expert being able to detect it immediately. It's an incredibly painstaking and incredibly expensive process that is damn near impossible to pull off. So difficult, in fact, that it's easier to start from scratch working with a completely computer-generated person, and even then it wouldn't look better than that Final Fantasy movie.
I would sooner believe that someone simply hired a look-alike to shoot the video.
All I know is, he needs new lawyers if they're gonna walk in to court with that.

Believe me, no morphing was used on that video. It is very clear that dude in that video was R himself. He is at an extremely desperate point. As they say, a drowning man will hold on to the edge of a blade in order to try and save himself.
All that aside, just check his track record. Didn't he marry Aaliyah on the low because she was under-age? Didn't he get freaky with Sparkles daughter (might have been niece, not sure at this point)? Dude has serious issues, yet he is seen as a hero of sorts by starstruck fans. Take off the blinders, people. He is guilty as sin.

Saw the video,
that was him...not trying to hold the man down but i think when it's all said and done, there will be a big guy named "Killer Kong" humming "12 Play" to him in the slammer.

that was him, on the video...
i wish that he would just admit to it...
i've just recently accepted r. kelly back into my life (via music)...
and i know it's him...
i'm assuming it would hurt him legally to acknowledge it, but uh... that's him...

what would solidify the case against him?

Man not to add to the guilty until proven innocent thing but one of my ex's told me that when she was in High School class of 89 at Hirsch that he (R.Kelly) used to come up to the school and sing and try to pull the girls. I don't know how old he was then but she told me this back in 93 or 94. Also My daughter told me he would sit in on her music class at Kenwood and be hanging around the concert choir...(let me say that some of those girls could pass for grown women but I digress) She just graduated this year. I as a doorman at The Sheraton Hotel took care of R. Kelly and Allyah a couple of times. I worked there in 95-96. How old could Allyah have been then?? R. Kelly then was running around in a grey Landcruiser..just my own tidbits.

It's very risky business to count on a "dumb" jury. I never underestimate people. Smart is always best. They may not agree with your case, but at least they understand it. Can't ask for much more.
