View Full Version : DHP Belgium, Europe and US-daredevils, it's decision time!

The summer event we're setting up where we wanna have a DHP-Belgian/Europe-gathering is taking definitive shape. That means I'm not only preparing the line-up, but also checking out accomodation for everyone who wants to attend!
In short this is what I am talking about:
Friday August 8th (in the evening): a football match (soccer that is before you Americans reach for that helmet...) between DHP Belgium (Fame Sucks, Kinky People and the independents :) and the rest of Europe / World, hopefully consisting of the Frankfurt posse of Russ Gabriel and the Needs-crew (gj, ngeso?!) followed by a huge dinner and chatting the night away.
Saturday August 9th: outdoors/indoors event starting at 14h, dj-patio / outdoor soundsystem, swimming pool, bbq, booze, sand, etc until the early Sunday morning
Sunday August 10th: R&R...
During the day I have dj-time outdoors, starting 9pm I'll have dj-time indoors and outdoors (although outdoors will be at 'talking level'). Not everybody will be able to spin, but if you want to, just PM me, reply to this mail, whatever, and I'll try to fit you in, I hope I can present a complete line-up in a couple of weeks.
Already confirmed (or more or less):
- Martin Red
- Jonny McIntosh
- Javasoul & Cisco
and of course the Kinky residents: Tea, Housensual, ardi & Red D :D
I especially wanna hear Tom D, David Le C and Lyot as well, so please confirm guys!
Anybody else who wants to come, let me know, but please realise that if you say you want to come and maybe play, make sure that is a fact. I don't feel like arranging accomodations et all for squat.
Bring it on!

Count me in, 3 days if I can, and yes I wanna play - it's time for my DHP première :D
If it's up to me this is gonna be a wild one... graemlins/grinyes.gif
hmmmmmmm, sounds VERY interesting and I should be able to make it if I have a place to crash.
As for dj-ing, I have most of my vinyl back home but I transferred a bunch on cd... if you don't mind a cdj, I'd be interested.
lemme know.

Alex Place to crash won't be a problem I think,...
Cdj might be available, I don't know,... We'll discuss that! I can use that too :D
i'm in off course.. graemlins/bighug.gif Can't wait.. Will there be camping opportunity? I'd like to bring my tent, as it would be madness to drive back and forth to Brussels each day..Le C, what about camping mate?
Second, are we playing on a real soccer field this time ? If so, wouldn't helmets be an option we could consider anyway ? :D
ps : Alex, make sure you get here !
helmets to play soccer... ok, I'll be the referee, k?
Lyot, like I said, I'm seriously considering it, the only obstacle would be an emergency in our case, but I rarely work saturdays, except for my thesis :D
stay in touch.

Alex Read the first post again people: accomodations a plenty, just let us know in time!
CDJ is normally never part of our set-up, but maybe Tea and you can convince us to do so? Consider it done!

Good idea: I can then play the only CD I have that never came out on vinyl :D

ps : Alex, make sure you get here ! I don't think room for camping is a problem, but why would you wanna do that when you can crash in a spare bed at one of the Kinkies' places? Again, just let us know when and how many people and we'll arrange it.

Camping is good for me Lyot, but if there is decent bed available I'm gonna go for that graemlins/rofl.gif , but I would give my bed to any of the internationals if there's not enough space available.
But I mos def don't wanna make the trip Brussels-Ghent each day, especially at night graemlins/all_coholic.gif

For all those interested, camping facilities are available, a small patch of nice grass (room for some 4 or 5 tents), a shower and bathrooms. I will let everybody know how many people we can accomodate, but I suggest as good hosts that we give priority to our foreign guests and that the DHP Belgium does the camping stuff if this is necessary.
