Remember when gas was about to hit 3 bucks what folks were sayin'..
"Shit,if gas hit 3 bucks,I ain't drivin NOWHERE.."
We still drivin ain't we?
I just gotta get ready to pay out the ass.
I am so glad I commute to work, instead of driving in like I used to.
I only pay 83 bucks for a monthly pass...I would spend way more than that driving downtown every week.

my old suv used to cost around that to fill it up a couple of years ago...now imagine going to a car that averages DOUBLE that gas mileage, the amount of money you save that can go into other things...that's exactly what i did...
the one thing that bugs me out on this board is all the financial advise, cut here, save here, do this or that...yet people get all bent out of shape when anyone points out that its impractical to have certain cars as daily drivers and how much money you can save, far more money than some of the usual suggestions...

Remember when .
Don't need to remember mate, we have search function on DHP.
It's a daily event now having GAS prices mentioned, one yesterday, one today, one tomorrow....
so that's how we get to 302 pages in 3 months.

I think I pointed out that fact to Chuck P as he was contemplating a new car purchase....

don't bother...i just said the same thing on another thread....on this board folks give out financial advise, tell you to cut stupid spending, preach to you how great they are, then when you point out that they can save HUNDREDS of dollars a month on gas choosing certain cars, they get all defensive...everyone's so different and wise, quick to give out financial and business advise, then go and do the same things they criticize others for doing, spending money on stupid shit...because a car is one of the worst depreciating things one can purchase...its not real estate, its all about look at me and what i drive, who cares if a year from now its worth half of what i paid for it...

Yep. Regular gas here was 2.89 during my last fill up. Now it's all at or just over/under three bucks. I have no problem with the cheap hood gas, either. 30 miles one way to work these days.
