This track can be anywhere in the year 2000, which is where I define Modern House to start. Everything before that..Classic material.

I chose Swell Session - Music in her eyes.. Dreamey, Jazzy, Brazlianee House

& U?

Nice choice  You should check for more of Yukimi Nagano's vocal tracks, always sweet. She's done excellent songs with Hird, Jafrosax, Koop, Sleep Walker, Stateless and her own band Little Dragon (Apologies if you know this already)

At this very moment my track is Theo Parrish - "Ascension" feat Genevieve Marentette but it'll change in a minute.

I'm really liking Mirror Dance by Afefe Iku right about now. I look forward to hearing it played this summer long. Jamie 3:26 played it not too long ago, sounded good!

id like to debate on whether modern house(if there is such a term) started in 2000.
i think its started from 1994 onto the present(yes a lot of years to cover but thats JMO)

lil louis blackout and why you fall
peven everett- i cant believe i love her
glenn underground - conquistadores(sp?)
venus - sunshine people(one of the few disco dubs i actually like)
moodyman- dont you want my love(too darn short on that album)
kenny latimore- if i ever lose my woman( one of my favorite MAW songs- EVER)

P.S. im done with the term classics when it comes to early disco and house. that word is more cheesy than saying downtempo for r and b. JMO

I use this term Modern (created by me, but I am sure spoken by many), because I am tired of hearing it called new house when in fact the new is old, but not..(lets say lack of a better term right now) "Classic". The reason I define it to start in 2000 is because it makes it easy to clarify a distinct date of house transition that can easily be remembered. By the time 2010 hits I guess we will call the present tracks classic. So..... what do we now call house classics, "Old House", "prehistoric House""PreY2K House"?

We need a new term I agree.

Markus Enochson "You blessed me" (Crash Records 12" Test Pressing)

I lost my mind the first time I mixed it. Couldn't walk away I must have remixed this track for about 20 mins before I was like "Okay okay....stopp enough"....lol

The breakdown on this is sah-weet
