Timmy was breaking some hot stuff including a new Floetry by DFA and something that had Quentin Harris' signature all over it. He also did a nice Chicago house set, which I don't hear much in there. The Jungle, Time Marches on, Mysteries of love.

I was at the Donnie show on Saturday on Prospect Park. I had a chance to hang out with him after the show. Funny thing - he didn't even know about the remix that everyone is talking about. That said, a Giant Step rep was there who said the mix everyone is jonezing for is scheduled for release in two weeks so, check your local shops.

It was beautiful!!! I don't know what it is but I tend to like the way they handle these free concerts in Prospect Park much better. It was not one of those concerts where you have to get on line 5 hours ahead of time....people just strolling in, everybody who wanted a seat had one, we did the picnic thing on the outside perimiter. I didn't spend much time in the main performance area but from what I could see, the people that were there were really up on the music, a lot of singing along and dancing in the aisles. Jodi Watley was terrific too, she looks fantabulous! Donnie did Cloud 9 as the encore, his band and back up singers were great!

Donnie tore the roof off the motha! Oh wait, there technically no roof as it's an outdoor venue
But seriously, he was great and his back-up singers. DAMN! Their melody reminded me of Marvin Gaye's people. They are gonna be huge in their own right given enough time. I didn't make it in time for Jody's performance as I was @ PS1 for Nicky Siano who was a little disappointing. he played between a CD player and a laptop and played pre-made mixes form the looks of things. I left in time to make the beginning of Donnie's set.
