The producer who yelled into Bonnie Bernstein's earpiece, to ask Roy Williams about the North Carolina job, should be fired.
No losing coach gives a flip or gives a sh*t about any North Carolina job at this time.
I'm sure there are more examples of idiotic journalism.
saw that, bonnie should be fired too, she just put herself in the jim gray category.
i was glad he cursed her out and walked away
Damn I missed that..What happened again?
postgame interview, roy sad but gracious, is talking to espn reporter bonnie bernstein, he makes some standard comments to her standard questions, towards the end she asks about the unc job, he sidesteps, she repeats, he sidesteps again repeating that all he is concerned with are his team, not really thinking about unc, she repeats again, and he lets her have it, "i don't give a shit about north carolina..." and walks away leaving her speechless with a stupid look on her face
WOW!!! I wish I could have seen that !!

I got it on tape. CBS didn't have the delay on. You don't expect those two coaches (especially the "oh, darnit" Roy Williams) to cuss.
Next year, CBS will have a 5 second delay, just in case a coach "flips". Peace.

it was kinda wild to hear roy curse like that. later on the podium he referred back to it and cut her up some more only very smoothly this time. he said something like coach smith would be ashamed that i said "blankety-blank" ... he then wrapped up the press conference by thanking the reporters that showed him respect

Alright, I may sound hypocritical, but at the time, I had agreed with Jim Gray (or the producer) asking if Pete Rose bet on baseball. The reason: Pete, for years, has been a complete ass on that issue, and has evaded it (or denied it) for years (formally and informally).
The 1999 World Series alltime players ceremony was, unfortunately, the only opportune time to catch Pete on the spot.
And the possibility that Pete's gonna get inducted without admitting he bet on baseball.
Pete's case is much different from Roy Williams. Peace.
I loved it when The Yankees declined to be interviewed by Jim Gray. I believe it was Scott Brosius who told Jim Gray that they had refused to speak with him because of the way that he had treated Pete Rose!!

It was an opportune time, but it sure as hell was not appropriate.
That was a great moment for baseball, all those legends in one stadium.
Then "that" had to happen.

Then "that" had to happen. If Pete had not acted (and still acts) like an ass over the years on the issue of betting on baseball, I would have said that it was not appropriate at that time. But Pete's been dodging the issue. Unfortunately, as a result, there was no choice but to bring it up then. Peace.
