Internal flight within the states

What airlines would be the best bet for internal flights from NYC : Newark - Boston - Washington.

Do you think it would be wise to book in advance ?

JetBlue is good for interstate flights - and cheap, too.

Jet Blue is defintely the move domestically.
Don't know if you'd have to book that far in advance.
Also, there are these Chinese busses that run from Boston to New York for $50. The only name I can think of is Fung Wah Bus Co. They are primarily used by Chinese folks but a lot of students take them as well.
