I saw the movie Clockers about a year ago. There is a song during the intro of the movie that I absolutely fell in love with: "people in search of a life" by Marc Dorsey.
Absolutely stunning. What a gorgeous production; what a voice. Reminds me of Stevie Wonder.
I recently got the soundtrack, and I've only been listening to that song for the moment.
And then I thought....I wonder what house producers could give this song the Midas Touch: Blaze, GU, Naked Music, MAW, Frankie Valentine, Restless Soul, DJ Deep, Playin 4 The City, Big Moses, Feliciano, Alix Alvarez, Kerri, Spinna, Ron Trent.....the possibilities are endless.
I haven't produced anything yet, but I'm convinced this song would be a primo candidate for one. So, I'm just throwing this idea out there for you mad rocket scientists!!! LOL
Ladies & Gentlemen, GET CRACKING!!!!!!

As few as possible please, let's produce our own original stuff before making remixes.

Donger - The Whiny Song.
I'd like to hear a couple of jazz cuts get the remix treatment. Maybe Freddie Hubbard's (if he's the original artist) 'Red Clay' or some Cal Tjader stuff.

I'd personally would like to hear some of the top R&B artists do some more up-tempo numbers...TP did both the slow jams and up-tempo party joints with great success, but I can't think of any contemporary artist that can do the same.
Going even further against the grain I'd like to hear some slower versions of some classic house songs done by contemporary artists of other genres.

Theo Parrish did a remix of a Freddie Hubbard song called Little Sunflower, the song features Al Jarreau singing....beautiful song. I think it is on one of the ugly Edits if memory serves me correct however, there are no lyrics on the Theo's edit.
