I know this has been asked before but searches on this site don't go back far enough. I'd like to know if I can record a mix with no track numbers on my stand-alone CD burner then pop the CD into my computer and assign track numbers before finalizing the disc. Or, can I finalize the disc then assign track numbers when I burn to another CD?

If I can't assign track numbers in either of those scenarios then let me know how I can. I have Roxio that came with the computer but I will buy another program if necessary. I'm tired of having to worry about assigning track numbers while mixing.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Soulful, you can do it with Soundforge 6, this thread explains how to do it.

Waddup man??If you have Soundforge, open the mix. Then as you scroll thru the mix, copy each section which is a song.Paste the copied section to a new document.Save it as a wav. file and continue to do so on every song in the original mix file. Then you can just burn the files as your tracked mix.

It does not take long.

If you had someone with you, they can manually assign track markings while you mixed.
