I suppose not many people here are interested in this subject... ?!
I'm into this kinda subject. I live in Tokyo, every year, Ryuichi Sakamoto
and other artists promote this kind of events and mo than a million
people join this kind of project. Hope mo people participate in this kinda
thing next time...

Damn, I have to turn off the hockey games for an hour?
I would participate but I'm going to be busy dumping a few oil drums down the storm drain.
We participated here in Phoenix. My 3 yr old loved it.

when I talked to some friends from work,
they didn't even know about Earth Hour. :conf06:

earth hour, you drive to an event to prove how much you want to save the world, yeah that'll work.

We ate dinner by candlelight, and kept the lights/TV/etc. off for the rest of the night. It was nice.
Have to be a bit vigilant with a 3-year-old around open flame though.

This is new to me. I am for it!! So they are organizing a certain time where you turn off all electricity for an hour right? Thats not hard to do. So what time in Chicago will this happen?

Hell this can be done everyday.. I think the biggest concern is setting your clocks afterwards which I have one that has a battery that will keep the time set. Other than that I am game.
