Thanks for the look out Javier. It's cool. It was Maurice's project that overshadowed mine anyway. Even in the review in URB,it was all about Maurice but they didn't mention my name once exept for the title of the record. My song on the other side was just filler. I listened to all my tracks on night driving around and I am no competition for the other cats making great music out there. I don't want to take anything away from the REAL talent out there. I am serious,I am not saying this for pity. I am being honest when I say that I listen to other peoples music and say to myself "I wish I had done that song" too many times. I'm thinking of hanging it up as far as production. I gave up on DJing a long time ago. I love music but that is as far as it should go. Just as a hobby. I am a guy who usually knows his limitations, but I thought maybe music would work out for me. Peace.

I am a guy who usually knows his limitations, but I thought maybe music would work out for me. Peace. What the fuck! Dude first off, after I gave your CD w/ "all god's children" to Doc Martin, the next time I saw him after he got back into town he told me that he had been playing it at all his gigs in London and Europe and that "The Crowds Love it"(his words) and that he wanted to put the record out on his label...
Now about the thing w/ Maurice... when the pre-release came out it was white and the sound samples on the Wax site were backwards(when you clicked on the Maurice mix, you heard you song) so I think alot of people got confused.... myself and EVERYONE I know prefer your original to Maurice's mix. Having a major NAME remix was just to bring more attention to your release...and for the record Maurice liked your song a lot too...
I really can't believe what I'm hearing from you... You remember when we first talked I told you that I was willing to put my time and $ into putting your tracks out myself....now if I don't know good music, then I don't know shit...
So check this out... I don't even what to hear anymore of this bullshit from you...shit your sounding like sammyrock, with this 'retiring from music' shit.
Dude...your new record is sick... I had been waiting to have this on vinyl...and now its out... this is only the beginning so stop tripping.... I HAVE SPOKEN! (copyright JMJ industries 2003)

Well...maybe I am too impatient. I have been hitting a wall as far as severe writers block and lately nothing, including my past works, have not been sounding too good. I am always questioning my abilties as far as really giving the people what they want in music. Although today was a good day as far as music for me. I finally got a couple of white labels of my new record plus some other promos from Westbound as well as my new Oberheim DX drum machine! So life is not all bad. I guess I just need to be more patient with myself and just work on improving my life conditions. Smetimes it seems like you work so hard and you have nothing to show for it. You feel like a hamster in an exercise wheel running fast but going nowhere. Klas, you are right about me sounding like Sammy. I feel hipecritical becuse I am doing the same thing I rag on him for doing. Thanks you Javier,Klas,Sammy,Jason, suenomartino and Mah'chew. I gess I am having DJ PMS. Peace.

If I can offer one bit of advice...Make the music for yourself...don't worry about weather other people will like it or not.... Artists go through stages....like the more progressive stuff I've heard from you lately...good stuff, just different, but that's a good thing... it means that you have different tastes and that you're evolving as a producer... can't wait to hear where you'll go next...but don't worry about that...just do your thing.
Peace,
Josh
