Settle down, boys. This is my niece, who graduated last week and is headed off to Clark Atlanta University in the fall.
Please notice how she is completely covered except for her shoulders. This, in my very humble opinion, is appropriate prom wear for a 17 year-old girl.

She wears Tripod.com well!
I hate that about free sites! to post a picture you have to have pay for space on a server. Try Yahoo photos.

All you smarty pants talking about the tripod box need to fix the post.
The picture is not that large on my web site.

http://wildiny.tripod.com </font>[/QUOTE]so because she is your niece that makes you adjust your tastes to give her more leeway? By saying you are conservative you recognize that there may be different ways of viewing things like taste, propriety, standards, etc. and that someone could find this dress distasteful and inappropriate for a teenager to wear something so revealing?

No more leeway... less. I felt the dress was a bit revealing, but apparently her parents were okay with it. Yes, of course people view things different but in a "civilized" society, it's a range with caps on top and bottom. When society as a whole (or more accurately, as a majority) feel things are too outre, the reign it back in.
Mark, are you just arguing to be arguing?

I think her dress was nice. ;)
At my niece's 8th grade (remember i said 8th grade) grad dinner, there was this girl with a two piece dress. The top was a tank top that had a "corset-like" back to it. Then she tried to lower her skirt as much as possible.
13 YEARS OLD!!!!!!

question.
does your niece know that her picture is up here and that there are a few thousand people eyeing her, the dress, etc.? did you ask her if you could put it up?
i got to wondering, thinking about the other girl and her dress and teenage pregnancy and all this big-momma-raise-you-right attidude and how kids should get kicked out of the house if they don't do so and so.
