View Full Version : Yanks deserved to lose!

What does an mlb paroll of over 160 mill. bring you these days?A team -despite winning 101 games in the regular season and a thrilling 7 game ALCS- who underachieves in a World Series in which they outscored their opponents 21-17,outpitched their opponents with a 2.13 era and outhit their opponents .261 to .232.It was a suckfest since game 4.
Here are the lowlights:
*Soriano a bust: avg 125 forgot how to swing a bat.
*Boone with the bases loaded(in extra innings) fails to work the count, foul off pitches and find something good to hit, strikes out instead.
*Weaver left in to pitch the 12th.It was just a matter of time!
*Contreras allowing himself to get burned on consecutive hits after he got the first 2 outs when he replaced Boomer.
*The botched rundown play in which Pudge was dead meat.Leads to 2 more runs thus enlarging the hole for Yanks.
*By the Yanks last at bat in the 9th(game 6) the team was 7 for 50 with runners on.The Marlins had clutch hits with 2 outs no less all throughout the series. That was the difference.
*Were the yanks counting on getting to a possibly tired Josh Beckett pitching on three days rest? The guy's a young stud who obviously doesn't have cheeseburgers and beer for breakfast!
Unbelieveable

Respect to the fish the yanks gave them a crumb they took the whole pie.Simple as that!

As I say, with numbers like those, rooting for the Yanks are like rooting for Republicans.
Reminds me of the Cowboys in the early 90s. No suspense in sport anymore.

Sometimes I have contemplated defecting to Mets they are more Democratic!I hate the fact that Steinbrennar does not try to build a young dynamic team like the A's and contribute more to a blance throughout the magors.Moneyball sucks!
the thing is game 6 was very very very close, jeter makes an error, wtf, and he almost threw out the runner anyway, to me castillo's at bat against petite was tremendous, then he hits a shot to right, garcia makes a very good throw, posada blocks the plate, makes a great sweep, barely misses rodriguez he touches the plate on the far side and the most unbelievable thing happens, the ump makes the right call! that right there blew me away. especially in yankee stadium

pffft where were u haters crying when the Yanks played the DEAD SOX? They too have a huge budget and got no results, heck they havent had a championship ina loooong time! graemlins/lol.gif
look point is Marlins deserved it since the YAnkees werent hitting (especially those BReaking BAlls throughout the playoffs mad1.gif )
but the most important factor here.............now pay attention kiddies, is that:
THE YANKS BEAT THE RED SOX & THE CUBS SUCK

We F*****g stunk point blank.
I love the YANKEES and would

become a mets fan.
F**k that you by your self on that S**T.
Every thing else you said was right on point.
All that graemlins/cussing.gif MONEY to lose to a young
inexperienced team .
What kind of graemlins/cussing.gif graemlins/cussing.gif was that?
Hey George ""HOW MUCH MORE MONEY YOU""
GONNA graemlins/cussing.gif SPEND. I know lets go for
200 million naw F IT let's make it 400 million.
And guess what ,I'LL bet you the ticket prices,
shoot through the roof. Bottom line we pitched
well enough to win, but we just didn't hit the ball. The Marlins beat us fair and square. :(

remember the last time the marlins won? they had one of the highest payrolls and bam! the team was gone the day after the series.
