hello folks,
my freinds are seniors and have been married over 50 years.
they need a place to live by 6/15/08.
both are sickly and need a 1st floor or elevator.
they prefer East N.Y. Brooklyn.
money is extremely tight.
they can pay about 750 only.
if anyone sees a for rent sign or an ad etc. please forward the info to me

Check with Social services in your area.
Get their family involved in the process too.
Where do you get a spot for $750 in New York?

East New York and Brownsville.Course you might get grazed by a bullet in your living room but thats a small price to pay for $750.00

im in the LES and i dont see any hope for affordable housing
people making 50K are unable to get housing unless its subsidized
imma check with hpd and other agencies to seek help
any help out ther would be appreciated
and Ms. Cherry, if i come across something for you send me some info about what you want etc. and i'll send you info

Second....Craigslist.org.
There are many apt available there and it is where most Realtors find apt to sell.

The is a new development at 575 Central Ave, Bklyn @ corner of Eldert St. This is in the Bushwick Section of Bklyn. They are filling up fast & I couldn't find the contact info. I believe it thru the Housing & Urban Development Office, so I would start there. The facility is named "Ozzie Wilson Residence Senior Housing.
Also in Wmsburg there iis a community group that could help. They have a senior residence located on So. 3rd St. Sorry I don't remember the name:

i tell you, i get so sad with the way nyc's housing crunch is.
i appreciate the help. these old folks have only 1 daughter here and she too has health issues she's been dealing with for years.
i do know that place on S. 3rd and will go there today.
my freinds- all your info will not only help us, but imma pass it on to others.
