It must be said he is a tool of the DLC, Corporate, Republican wing of the Democratic party. I would like to hear other opinions on this Quisling of the middle and lower class.

immature political thought
a most relevant question is "traitor to what?"
brothers CAN represent all aspects of the political spectrum w/o being labeled as "traitors"
he appears to be a brother who is making a difference
just a regular brother
Agreed. And a decent jump shot.

I have actually been in Harold's presence socially many times - he is good people. While I may not agree with him completely politically, to call him a tool of anyone or anything would be way off base.
We need to get away from this monolithic way of thinking, it's not beneficial to us (Black Folk).

Seems alright to me, though I hate the impact the DLC (with whom he aligns with) has had on progressive issues in the past.

Ditto. And he got a very raw deal in his senate race. He was "black-boated."

I ask the question because I look at his policies, defended and voted for the Iraq war his voting record on a womens right to choose is to the right of the democratic platform, he supported Joe lieberman, voted yes on the bankruptcy bill, supported a ban on same sex marriage, supported the republicans in the Terry Schiavo case I am a progressive democrat and knowing that he heads the DLC he is like a fox in the henhouse and he will overturn the people will and give the nomination to the DLC chosen candidate Hillary Clinton

He sounds like an intelligent person to me from what I hear on David Gregory's "Race for the White House". I'm not one to brand black political philosophy as monolithic. Blacks run the gamut of political spectrum from far right to far left. To brand someone who leans to the right as a traitor, as noted displays a "immature" understanding of who we are politically.

no offense, no disrespect intended, but you gotta give harold the benefit of the doubt, if he were content in running forever from a safe seat like his father did, he could vote more progressive because his district would never rebel, but, to his credit, he felt capable and had the heart to run statewide as a us senator, to become one of a hundred instead of one of 435, those are huge stakes and in order to accomplish that he had to vote more reflective of his statewide constituency, that makes sense to me and its smart politics and its good for a progressive agenda to have harold in the senate. you gotta agree with that

Yeah... there's no disrespect there. It's just the slang people use now-a-days. Kind of like how the term "brother" is used.
