yeah, the special effects were good but the movie overall was really hard to follow. I really did not like it.

I enjoyed it, the freeway chase was off the hook. I still haven't scene X-Men United so I can't make any comparisons.

I think that if you're into Star Trek TNG, you can understand (somewhat) what the subject matter is about. There's an episode of Star Trek TNG in which Worf was jumping through differnent universes and he was in different stages of his life caused by decisions he had made, a sort of Quantum Mechanics essay on the universe and the amount of choices we have the ability to make.

Another thing that I thought of was a thread on this board about "Love" Someone posted a very intersting thread about that word and it really surprized me. I knew all along that the conversation towards the end with Neo and that old dude in the room full of monitors had something to do with Trinity.

I enjoyed the film and can't wait for the third installment.

Peace

The Matrix was dope. I have saw it twice already. I am also playing the video game right now. Gives a little insight on what happended after the last Matrix and before Reloaded.

Monica Bellucci was worth the price of admission alone.

That woman is fine as hayull!

I foresee a Matrix 4 short film, where I have a bedroom scene with Persephone, Trinity and Niobe, and we recreate the human race together.

Look out Cannes, here I cum, oops, I mean come.

Peace That episode is in my top 5 from the series. I'm such a nerd that I even know the title. It was called "Parallels". I don't quite see how it relates to "The Matrix" though. I actually liked "Matrix Reloaded" more than the first one.

The scene where Neo was in that room full of monitors. Each of those images of Neo saying different comments, making different decisions. That's no different than the scen in "Parallels" where you see thousands of "Enterprises" appearing out of nowhere from different dimensions.

Take another episode of TNG, one of my favorites where Jon Luc had surgery on his heart and Q took him back in time so that he could change the decisions he made in life. He ended up in a powerless position taking orders and he did not like that outcome.

It's all about the flaws of human beings, the decisions we make and how a feeling or concept such as "Love" can alter our lives and events in history.

Peace

Seriously though, the Wachowski Bros. did one thing though, that while it was cool from one aspect, it was kind of dangerous for this film in another one.
To completely understand everything that happens after the first movie and in Reloaded, you have to play the game and see four of the eight Animatrix films. Two of them, "The Second Renassiance (sp)" parts 1&2, explain the events that led up to and to the end of the machine war. "Kid's Story" tells you about the kid who was laying all of that hero worship on Neo.
"The Final Flight of the Osiris" does two things; it sets you up for the main plot of the movie and gives you the lead in for "Enter The Matrix."
"Detective Story" introduces you to another character who will show up in the next movie, as does "Program." The final three, "World Record," "Matriculated" and "Beyond" give you further insights into the Matrix universe.

As for the game, it reveals a lot of the back story for the movie and reveals interesting background info for the characters.

This could be dangerous as there may not be that many viewers/fans who are willing to delve that deeply or follow it that much.

The Matrix is a lot deeper that everyone thought...and I love it!

In other words, it is all that.

I fell asleep within the first 10 minutes of the damn movie and woke up during the freeway scene. So that pretty much sums up what I thought about the movie.

One thing I did like about M2 were the "you're so dumb" one liners directed at Keanu Reeves.

The freeway scene was the best part of Matrix Reloaded. They could have kept that going for another hour. I also must say I want a little alcove to get my groove on like Neo and Trinity. Can we all have a hideaway like that for our sexual encounters? graemlins/cool_shades.gif I also thought the Smith virus problem was a nice twist to the plot, so I will be interested to see where that goes in Matrix 3.

And then there was my boyfriend whispering in my ear when all was quiet in the theater, "but where's my cookie bitch?" icon_rofl.gif I was just as annoyed as Neo with the Oracle. Stop talking in riddles damn! AR15firing.gif
But then again, Neo, when you going to get a clue? Aren't you supposed to be THE ONE? graemlins/tongueout.gif

Personally, I found teh Matrix Reloaded suffered Piggy in the middle syndrome.

Sequel to 1, prequil to 3.

A continuation and it is also a middle part so no concluion either.

It's a shame most commercial films have to go this route $£$£$£$£$£££$$$$$$$$$$$$$ cha ching !

Man, the Matrix was the SHIT! But my advice to anyone that gets mixed up in the message my advice to you is: don't spend so much time trying to understand the meaning-just enjoy the eperience of the movie for what it is. You can always rent it when it ocmes out and watch it again to understand the plot.

I just watched the first one again sunday night and these movies are really well made. They tell you everything up front, but sometimes it is hard to catch. It really opened my eyes. How many movies have you ever seen that you can say that about?

Even if you don't know what's going on, watching Neo bust up 20-30 Mr.Smiths at once was enough for me. graemlins/cool_shades.gif

For sure Rick-but I know a lot of people just want to go and see some ass-kicking. But if you want to discuss-we can. I just had a two hour discussion with about 7 friends that came over sunday about the Oricle and her role vs. the meaning free will. Plus is she with them or against them? Or is she just telling it like it is?

That convo was deep... graemlins/cool_shades.gif

that's my take this week...i think i'll place wagers on the part III...better than the superbowl, babeeeee....

I believe there's some "Love Conquers All" concept going on in these films. The system had to upgrade it's self atleast six times because of what I think is our faults as human beings and how we let our emotions control most of our fate. Neo dies in the first one, Trinity dies in Reloaded. Both come back together. I wouldn't be surprised if Neo and Trinity create some Super Baby of some sort.

The love scene between Neo and Trinity was very "Shakespeare" like in it's portrayal. Orgasm being compared to death, and that is what Neo saw in her eyes at the end of their love making.

I hope the third film has closure and doesn't put anymore doubt into our heads.

Peace
