This whole notion that gay guys have more fashion sense than straight guys is nonsense..well if you wanna looke like Truman Capote that's fine but I aint gonna be wearing no sweater tied around my neck with candy striped pants like I'm some damn mixed up super-hero. There are plenty of us straight guys that know how to dress. We don't all look like old boy on the King of Queens or John Goodman..gimme a break. Some people actually believe that gay guys have a better sense of fashion..

Have you seen the show? I don't recall any of the guys being made over wearing sweaters over their shoulder or candy-striped pants. Actually, many of them look great after their makeovers, as do their homes. I dig the show, its obvious stereotypes nonwithstanding.
And yeah, the show plays on the stereotype that gay men have a better sense of style and know more about food and wine and "fine" culture than straight dudes do. Just like a lot of shows and other cultural expressions (music, sports, etc.) play off of the stereotype that black people are better athletes, black men have bigger penises and black women are sassy, overweight, neck-rollin' "you go, girl!" type of people.

My girlfriend says sometimes it is not normal the way I am for a guy. I am very fashion conscious and I love to shop. I help her put together outfits. That sterotype is very on true.

They were schmucks before they got made over that's too easy.

It may just be my experience, but my girl always picks out feminine clothes for me when we go shopping together. She says shit like "this is cute" and I think to myself "yeah if i was looking to get hit on by other guys". Maybe its just me though. graemlins/conf44.gif

I love to shop for clothes too. I went to a birthday party about two weeks ago and soon as I walked in the door this big, burly, black guy stopped and looked at my pants. Like he was in some old ass "Jordache or Bugle Boy Jean ad" and asks where I got my slacks from. This caught me off guard, then I notice he had on a sharp ass shirt. So we began to talk about where we shopped... Now I'm writing this... this sound very QUEER... NEVER MIND....... icon_rofl.gif icon_rofl.gif
