What is the deal with this label? Are these bootlegs or official releases? Good sound quality? Are there any exclusive cuts or are they all songs that were released on other labels?

As far as i know if the records are kinda old, then this may be the label from the old bluebird record store in london and they are legit.

I have some Paul Hardcastle on this label from way back

Sorry I've been doing some searches and it turns out that there have been quite a few labels called Bluebird.

It looks like the Bluebird I'm talking about is related to RCA records and released 12"s. I saw a Lonnie Liston Smith - Expansions on mrpeabodyrecords.com a while ago, and I just bought a Francine McGee - Feelin Good/Delirium off eBay. I hadn't noticed before I posted this, but those are both from RCA records, which still puts out some CDs as RCA/Bluebird.

These were licensed UK releases, not bootlegs

Bluebird was an indie dance store in the 80's.
They had a label to license hot items, some of which are not on 12" anywhere else.
Abbey Shah who was later behind Catch A Groove records was involved in this label, he could tell you more. I'll try and send him this way if you need info. I doubt he has any copies left, but it's worth asking!
